Unless you're in the Kingdom Hearts fandom.

EDIT: If anything, it's lesbian pairings they won't clutch their pearls over. And a good number of these types ship female x female pairs.

I know of the infamous Kingdom Hearts fandom. I know the yaoi there is insane considering there's only like 3 prominent female characters. What pairing is now "problematic" according to them?

Axel x Anyone That Isn't Saïx (fucking ugh...), especially with either Roxas or Xion. Because the latter two "are his children." The Axel tag is VERY uncomfortable to go through and a large part of that is because of the fandom's weird-ass daddy issues.

Before Birth By Sleep the script was flipped. If you didn't ship Axel/Roxas you were weird or (god forbid) you figured out some way to make Axel straight you were shunned.

Then post BBS and KH3 it changed the shipping landscape and the ship wars started anew. KH fandom is probably one of the better ways to watch fangirls fight without them taking it to insane irl life ruining levels.

That is the nonsense they are more than happy to spread everywhere they go.

Some antis are self-righteous purity-culture idiots regurgitating the same rhetoric as book-banners and moral guardians of days gone ("Think of the children! Read/watching this content will encourage others to emulate it!"). Like the pissy Christian soccer-moms of the 90s and 00s screeching about how Harry Potter was going to make their children into satan-worshippers, Antis (who are more often than not social justice types) want to convince you that Reylo is going to brainwash young girls into dating abusive dickheads. Confront them about the fact that they are using, chapter and fucking verse, the same logic as the conservatives of yore, they will inform you that it's not the same thing because "we have RightThink and they had WrongThink and you are a racist/sexist/homophobe etc, etc, for even suggesting that there's a comparison to be made."

But some are, I believe, just pissy fandom children that have their panties in a bunch because "That person ships something that I don't like, that person is a fan of a character that I don't like, and I want them to stop. I know! I'll come up with a million bullshit ways to make this ship/character problematic, and then people will stop liking them because they're morally bad, not because I'm a self-centered little cunt who can't stand it when people enjoy things that I don't like."

I have been running in fandom circles a long-ass time, and I have never seen a point in whining about what other strangers, who are doing me no harm, are writing/drawing on the internet. You could not fucking pay me to give a shit about what other people do on the internet. They can write the most fucked up shit in the world, and I will not care- as long as they are not directly, explicitly encouraging others to engage in illegal activity, as long as they themselves are not engaging in illegal, abusive, or otherwise predatory behavior, I don't fucking care what they do. And if they do, I will do what most reasonable, functional adults do: I will report them to the website (or other relevant authorities) and cite evidence of the behavior.

But then, we all know what Tumblr's policy is on taking personal responsibility for yourself is.

Those words have become a dog-whistle: The anti side of Tumblr has such a fucked up definition of those words that your knee-jerk reaction to seeing someone accused of them is "Okay, so is this person actually a pedo, or are they someone who ships two perfectly consenting adults with an age-gap together?"

I saw the ACAB over the dog before I actually read the post, and my knee-jerk reaction was "Assigned Canine at Birth". Took me a second to remember what this particular acronym stands for. Jokes on them, though: Paw Patrol is one of the most popular kids' series out there now.
