"But stuff is HARD and I want to be able to tell people I completed Dark Souls without actually having to make the effort and it hasn't occurred to my peanut sized brain to just google the plot and then blag it. Funny really because google is my doctor, psychiatrist, pharmacy and university so really I should get it to play my games for me."![]()

This just in: challenging videogames are literally an attack on mentally ill people.
I'd love to watch this person try to play WarioWare
I mostly ceased being annoyed by tumblr shit shortly after joining this forum and learning to just laugh at it but this actually winds me up slightly. Basically this idiot wants to live in a world where every game uses a one handed control pad with a single button. Every so often a prompt gently fades onto the screen that says "Please push the button to advance to the next stage, if you find button pushing to be triggering please wait and the game will advance automatically." This of course is on a console that, on first power up displays a message saying "Please shriek your preferred pronouns at me now and I will save them to my memory."
NO OKAY I was on a chatroom once with a number of people espousing very SJW-like talk - this being back when I was a borderline SJW, so it wasn't weird to me - and this one kid came on (who was admittedly a bit of a douchebag for other reasons) and was like "I'm watching Ace Ventura Pet Detective!" and like three people hounded him like "that is such a problematic film with transphobia and homophobia" or something idk I haven't seen that movie and am just going off what I remember from this convo that was like two years ago. But they were complaining a lot and trying to make the kid (who was younger than them, mind; he'd be like 16 or something now and therefore not a 90s kid whereas the people telling him it was problematic would be in their early-mid 20s now) feel bad for enjoying this movie
Has anyone notice how the word "problematic" is becoming increasingly used in the same way that Scientologists use the word "suppressive"?
