On the Run the Jewels tip, some OG Company Flow

But, this is a gem that has not met many ears.

I'm fairly entry-level, tend to enjoy more catchy hip-hop with boom-bap production rather than trap stuff. There aren't many albums I like as a whole other than My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy and Daytona.

JPEGMAFIA's last album is great too. Kind of inconsistent but a lot of really fucking great tracks.

KMD, Proof, early Slum Village. All excellent and ripe for the picking if you haven't heard them yet.

I’m mostly about the old school.

Eric B & Rakim, Public Enemy, Run DMC, Whodini, Audio Two, Beastie Boys, Digable Planets, Dilated Peoples

I like a little bit from some more recent artists.

Loyle Carner, Antwon, Nacho Picasso.

EDIT: I’m into Turntablism too. That is what Hip Hop is missing these days... SCRATCHING.

If you like fire verses over boom-bap production, you should definitely check out Czarface (Inspectah Deck + Esoteric):

Diabolic's Liar & A Thief album is also very underrated imo, nice production, strong emceeing and most importantly in my opinion, fucking hungry rappers on the mic:

I also second CrunkLord's suggestions of Joyner Lucas, that dude is amazing, I could listen to him eviscerating the Bank Account instrumental all day!

Also, if you've never listened to Pusha T or his original group, the Clipse, then you absolutely should, and yes, that includes the mixtapes.

- Lil Ugly Mane, SpaceGhostPurrp, Denzel Curry (all Raider Klan associates), also others like Wiki in terms of production and lyrics
- trap scene has acts like Playboi Carti, Lil Uzi Vert, A$AP Rocky
- cloud/edgy rap (Yung Lean, Bones, $uicideboy$' latest album, et al) is pretty good too, even harder fringe stuff like Sybyr and most other antiworld/weirdclvn members

there's also the UK rap scene with acts like Boy Better Know (Skepta, JME and others) in terms of grime/drill, Foreign Beggars and a few artists signed under High Focus Records like Ocean Wisdom.

Loyle Carner is a great shout, recommend him to everyone.
