I don't listen to too much modern rap. I don't like how the slower, emptier trap beats have almost completely taken over the genre, and I'm not a fan of the stilted delivery that has gotten popular in the last few years. That said, I do like Rittz and Evidence (formerly of Dilated Peoples).
Both of them have put out very solid albums in the last year or so.

I'll just reccomend some underated rappers.

Dialated Peoples

De La Soul

Jurassic Five (you probably heard their music in Tony Hawk Underground or Jet Set Radio)

The Pharcyde

Anyone in the soundtrack to MadWorld and Anarchy Reigns

I'll second Aes. Also check his colab with Rob Sonic, Hail Mary Mallon.
If you're looking for something more classic, you can't go wrong with Ghost.
Common put out some pretty good stuff too, back then.

All of these are really well known but whatever.

Wu Tang is cheating but ODB is too good not to single out.
Nine
Geto Boys are great, they have a few recurring songs or styles of songs that are repetitive but when its not those its good.
Big Boi

Mos Def’s Black on Both Sides album has the first half sounding good, with the exception of two songs.

This song just managed to make him sound irrelevant when compared to Busta Rhymes:
