Infected RationalWiki - Whiny hugbox for spergs and a clusterfuck of neverending drama on a rapidly declining website.

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
The VDARE article was written by a high-functioning troll who clearly did his homework, it's accurate on fact and smart about much of his conclusions, even if the author is a racialist or racist white ethnocentrist, blah, blah. I see I was mentioned above, so I registered and am willing to answer questions, if I notice them. Might take some time. Yes, I have filed suit against the WikiMedia Foundation, and John Does 1-9, which some people are guessing are certain people, but I will probably wait to name and serve until the case gets to discovery, if the WMF refuses to negotiate fairly. They retained Jones Day, the largest legal firm in the U.S. I expect, from them, competence.

Get a avatar you gay snail. who the hell are you?

When it comes to suing people who say mean things about you on the internet you’re no Russell Greer

Edit: holy shit this dudes an alt right Muslim convert who advocates cold fusion

  1. I did not ask for legal advice. I have not claimed "illegal." And what you fail to see is meaningless.
  2. I am not Russell Greer, correct.
  3. I am not by any stretch of the imagination "alt right." I am Muslim, yes, and I advocate research, the same as both U.S. DoE reviews of the field. I am also not responsible for your ignorance.

Now, again, any questions?

It is just a coincidence, of course, but currently someone is flooding reddit with obvious Smith messages. (I am posting there under a real name, as usual,) Accounts appear solely to attack (me, Dysklyver, or other well-known favorite Smith targets, and then are quickly "deleted by the user." Today the valiant defender of all that is good and decent began repeating the same message over and over. And over.

Obviously this represents the public waking up and realizing that Oliver Smith and his brother have been right all along, and so finally they are standing up to defend him and damn the troll to Hell. And, of course, having recognized the Smiths as the saviors of humanity from racism, fascists, pseudoscientists and quacks, they have researched every detail of his history and can then repeat the really cogent arguments that the Smiths have made on RatWiki, here, and about everywhere, and especially the articles created about me on Encyclopedia Dramatica (by Oliver) and RationalWiki (by Darryl) which articles can be trusted to give a full and fair presentation of evidence and conclusions, as with all other ED and RW content.

Yeah, right.

And, here, this cohort of the Valiant is so far represented by WikipediocracyNut. From recent history, it can be expected that wherever I show up, these accounts will rain. So if the PowerZ that B here want me to stop posting, to avoid that, let me know. I'm grateful for the information that was a provided by kiwifarms over the years, but I have no need to post here unless it is wanted. There is more complete discussion of the lawsuit on wikipediasucks.co

If I have to try to convince you, I am in the wrong business with the wrong audience. This is not the court, and your opinions are irrelevant. As to the lolcow issue I have articles on Encyclopedia Dramatica and RationalWiki, courtesy of Oliver and Darryl Smith. I avoided this place for years, as I avoid most "discussion" fora that go nowhere but around in self-satisfied circles. I prefer conversation with real people who are not hiding behind anonymity.

But I have an admiration for the founder and what he and his family went through, foolish or not. Still, I can't think of any reason I need to check in here and I'm seeing no actual welcome, so . . . I doubt I'll be back. Thanks for all the fish.

According to Rational Wiki Julius Caesar was "left wing".

Wat?

If anything, he actually was more an autocrat. While he did make many polices to benefit the common man, he did so in order to shore up support for himself, and he even admitted the Republic was a name with no substance.

He was a strong believer in traditional Roman values and firmly supported the military, values that were center-right at the very least, as they emphasized loyalty to the state and traditional paterfamilias roles regarding the family.

Hell, his enemies killed him because they feared he was becoming a tyrant in the modern sense, and his enemies were the oligarchical Senate, which in the twilight years of the Republic was effectively the Roman version of the Soviet Politburo in it's cliquishness and how a few powerful voices at the top effectively had control over the rest, which Caesar attempted to weaken because their policies were done for the sake of preserving their own power at the expense of Romans and traditional values.

Militarism isn't right wing or left wing. Trying to apply shit like right and left to the Roman republic is fucking retarded.

Well, with that kind of attitude you are obviously not a lolcow at all. Silly beliefs are an important part of lolcowdom, but the most important ingredient is never being able to say "Your opinion is irrelevant" and mean it.

Heh, well, hang around, participate in threads, see if you like any of it, or not, your call. If you were expecting a grand welcome... I don't know what to tell you, I didn't get one either if it makes you feel better.

If you want to laugh at people being stupid, this is the place. If you can't stand people laughing at your stupidity, I'd say you won't like it here.

But seriously, welcome to the farms.

He essentially did away with the Republic and replaced it with imperialism that sought to force its ideology on the entire world by force while sedating the populace with bread and circuses to keep them stupid and left behind a nepotistic regime of increasingly degenerate trannies and. . .

okay so maybe he was left wing.

is rationalwiki an ironic site that intentionally makes its articles as irrational and emotion-driven as possible? it seems as though their writing process literally boils down to "i dont like this person so I am going to write negatively about him in this article"

Pretty much. Despite criticizing people they write articles about for making fallacies, their articles are full of them. There's also "the fallacy fallacy" that they engage in. Encyclopedia Dramatica actually put it down in spades.

It's hypocrisy. For example, the RationalWiki page for Thomas Sowell is chopped full of fallacies, from cherry-picking to strawmanning to hasty generalizations to denouncing statements (look at their edit log to see that they don't like denouncements to their website) and so forth.

Eh, Caesar was his time period's Huey Long. A weird mix of populism, reformist ideas, and a national and authoritarian streak a mile long. You can't really full on peg him, especially given what the classical world was like.

Very true. Long was quite content to use anything right, left, or center, so long as it kept him in power and people happy with him.

Caesar pulled the same stunts, but had the advantage of having a sizable part of the military in his back pocket if he needed to pull an old fashioned coup if he really needed to.

The problem is that they have huffed their own farts too much and figure they are automatically right, so who cares about being an asshole, they are right by default.

When you assume you are in the Right like that, then you can't commit fallacies, you'd have to be wrong to begin with for it to be a fallacy.

Which is in reality one of the most arrogant appeals of authority ever, but RW is to a large part really that vainglorious about it itself these days.

It's sad that nobody from there comes to try to own us with their superior logical understanding of everything anymore. Of course, last time someone did that the rest of their users jumped on them for getting KF's attention...

I think the worst part of Rational Wiki is the fact it used to be kind of enjoyable to read and a lot of the older pre-SJW takeover articles are still decent.

I admit, I still occasionally re-read their articles on mall ninjas and similar topics such as McDojos, Paramilitary Woo, Soldier of Fortune Magazine, and the like.

That didn't protect him from the Senate.

No one ever accused Julius of having the foresight to consider making sure he had the Senate muzzled as much as he thought he did, that cost him his life.

However, his high popularity with the military establishment did cause their assassination of him to backfire hard enough Octavian was able to finish what he started.

As a history enthusiast, I find it funny that for all RationalWiki likes to rant about pseudo-history, they seem to be bad at real history.

Julius Caesar could not fit into the Left/Right paradigm and neither could any other political or military leader of the Classical world.

The very concept of a Left-Right divide as a political paradigm didn't even exist at all until the French Revolution and would not be codified into its most commonly understood positions until the 20th Century as the modern concepts of left-wing and right-wing positions were largely informed by both of the World Wars and the Cold War and their far-reaching effects on the West and from there, the global community.

Of course, with the dominance of RationalWiki by SJW's and other far-left types, I'm sure the site will go even deeper into the abyss and somehow getting worse than the current nonsense of Antifa apologists, gender-based pseudoscience, and conspiracy theories that paint Gamergate as some nefarious right-wing version of the Frankfurt School.

If RationalWiki keeps going in the direction it is in, expect blatant and unabashed propaganda articles with topics such as Holodomor denial, Stalinist and Maoist apologism, black supremacy, and unironic support for regimes such as North Korea, Venezuela, and groups like Hamas and the Colectivos.

RationalWiki is currently the left-wing version of Conservapedia but I would not be surprised if they debase themselves even further into the left-wing version of Metapedia within the next few years.

Of course, part of why RationalWiki was hijacked by SJW's in the first place was largely due to the site being a relic of the Bush era where mocking the Religious Right was popular enough to be a widespread aspect of internet culture but was also kind of rebellious and, for lack of a better term, "edgy" due to the fact that the Religious Right still had a lot of clout in American culture and politics despite being so obviously out of touch, disliked, and downright irrational.

However, any power the Religious Right once had was lost once Bush left office and Obama's reelection in 2012 effectively killed it as a political force, with the downfall of the Tea Party and the 2016 Election serving as the final nail in the coffin.

Now bitching about conservative Christian fundamentalists is really old hat and the fact that the SJW's are still screeching about them nearly a decade after they stopped being relevant while basically adopting an inverse equivalent of the same type of rhetoric is both bitterly and hilariously ironic.

I've said multiple times on this site and elsewhere that the current SJW movement is the Millennial equal and opposite reaction to the old Religious Right, particularly as it existed under George W. Bush's presidency.

However, due to a more widespread yet also more corporate-controlled internet and a radically different media landscape, the SJW's became even more destructive, fanatical, and successful in their repression efforts than the Religious Right at its zenith could have ever hoped to have been.

RationalWiki in essence has become supportive of the very same kind of cult mentality that they were founded to oppose and make fun of.

Identity Politics is a hell of a drug.
