Are they still squatting in someone’s garage in Michigan? I can’t imagine how the person who agreed to let them stay a few months off season in a rental cabin felt about them turning into years long squatters in their garage.

She posted a YouTube review a couple of months back for some color changing lights, she was still living in the Gothic Garage then. I hope they have a smoke detector because it looks like a fire hazard.

According to Raven's YouTube about page she is a registered cat foster, so I guess Michigan will let just anyone be a foster.

I wish I had the words to explain to you how excited I was to see this thread bumped, because Raven is my favorite flavor of whole fat creamy delicious cow and even a drop of milk has sustained me.

But instead I'll give you a shiny Kiwi Metal and thank you for making my day a bit more lolzy because you reminded me that she exists, and she's learned NOTHING.

I love thrifting and estate sales but I have a laser focus for what I’m looking for. However I see giddy hoarders like Raven at these places all the time filling their carts or arms with useless tat. It’s perfect for Raven because all the cheap Chinese junk she loved buying five years ago is 85% of what’s in the goodwills now. The turnover from big box to goodwill is like a year or two and sometimes it’s direct because the big box stores just dump all of their old unsold stock onto the charity circuit.

When Raven announced her new love of thrifting I was expecting her to be doing it as some Etsy or FB reseller to make money, but no, she’s just scratching that hoarding itch the only way she can.

Edited to make the pictures less huge. Also I just learned that an elder goth is someone that has been a part of the goth lifestyle for a long time not a goth that is old, lol. It definitely makes more sense that Raven would be boasting that she has been goth longer than most goths, rather than her actually admitting that she is a goth who is getting old.

For someone who lives in a garage hundreds of miles away from Josh’s family she sure is obsessed with them. She’s got some major insecurity over Josh dumping her to be this focused on his family. I guess that’s all she’s got for a social life now, codependency with Josh, the weird relationship with the person whose garage she’s squatting in, her cats and Josh’s family. (We know her son has nothing to do with her) She has to be nice to Josh and the garage owners so she’s only got Josh’s family for her angry drama needs.

Is she worried Josh is not happy squatting in a garage in Michigan with goth granny? He was cool with mom’s sofa, then a trailer in a cesspit. I don’t think his standards are that high or that he has any.

It’s hard when she’s now got a life (thirty plus years) that is the result of acting like a 13 year old.

I do think time has finally caught up with her to some degree. She can’t hang out among her mental equivalents (teenagers) anymore. Her last attempt at that resulted in her marrying her son’s friend and lots of humiliation. It must have at least served as weird wake up call that she could only find peers among people her son’s age, everyone over 25 could see she’s a trainwreck.

menopause tends to reign in some of the worst BPD traits in women and she has also said she’s finally taking psych meds which has probably mitigated her worst impulses.

She’s in her late 40’s and all she has to show for it is living in someone’s garage with a bunch of junk, cats and most importantly Josh. She’s estranged from her son and all blood family.

All she has is Josh, so her entire life will be built around keeping him by her side. Josh gets all the ego massage and love bombing he needs. She is obviously very threatened by Josh’s family and fears him having other options in life besides squatting in a garage with her. (I have a hard time believing he has a job only because she would fear him meeting other people, esp women.)

Either way, Raven’s days of playing slutty goth e-girl are over and her only game plan for the future is keeping Josh by her side in the garage. (No doubt she’s trying to become a permanent welfare leech too. Raven is using that Medicaid card to create a giant medical record to get an SSI check anyway she can. If they get out of the garage it will be into some HUD housing.)

I will admit that the “love that was more than love” has lasted longer than expected. I didn’t see them lasting five years. She bet it all on Josh. She certainly detected something about Josh’s that told her to fly across the world to lock him down. Might just be she realized he was as dumb as a rock and she could be his permanent wrangler.

In the review video Raven did of the color changing Halloween lights I saw atleast four cats, around the same time she posted that review Raven posted the same video of a rat to Instagram and TikTok, I don't know if it was an old video or whether she owns a rat as well as a bunch of cats, the rat's name was Hazelnut. Two adults, fours cats and rat, it's getting crowded in there.

I wish she would give us a full tour of the Gothic Garage so that we could see what kind of space she has, she's definitely not making the most of her limited space by filling it up with random toys and collectables. She said in the color changing lights review that she intended to make the space her own, so it doesn't sound like their friend is getting their garage back any time soon.

I don't think Raven and Josh have any intention of moving, Raven is still spending money like there's no tomorrow on piercings, tattoos and Halloween junk. In that Halloween haul she uploaded to TikTok a couple of days ago, she had five of those large Halloween Squishmallows, they can be like $20 each.

Sourcing men from the internet is how she ended up in NZ and then in South Carolina. It’s also how she managed to secure free shelter in a garage.

Raven is a skillful parasite who can sniff out suitable new hosts online.

I’m sure she could find a new guy online, but the stability/resources such a guy might offer her is debatable. She found Josh attractive, he supposedly had a home but most importantly he responded exactly as needed to her attention and declarations of love.

Not that either have other good options but the fact they have stuck together after being evicted from a series of in a filthy trailers and have now been squatting in a garage for years is sort of surprising.

Josh seemed to resent his ex-girlfriend and family pushing him to be a better man, to not be a shiftless, lazy loser. Raven, otoh, is perfectly content to live in squalor with shiftless bum as long as she can play goth dress up and he praises her look. Maybe incredibly low standards and expectations will keep them together after all.

I still think Josh has a drug problem. There’s no way two sober people could tolerate living this way for so long. Enabling Josh’s drugs use would also give Raven a reliable control axis. Squatting for free in a garage allows them to spend what little money they get on Josh’s vices and Raven’s junk.

In the past they had a huge problem saving up money to pay even a few hundred dollars for monthly rent and utilities. The current living situation allows them to piss away whatever money they get their hands on immediately on immediate gratification. They are either retarded, have a drug habit, or both, for this type of situation to continue shamelessly for three plus years. Josh can tolerate the squalor and boredom thanks to drugs and Raven can tolerate it because it keeps Josh under her control.

Josh having drug issues would give Raven the perfect Pavlovian control vector to keep Josh by her side. She would also refute all the valid criticisms or hard truths his family and friends have given over the years, which is music to his ears.

I have been checking in occasionally with Raven too. Just her YouTube and not Facebook so I'm glad for those screen shots. She keeps her YouTube replies pretty short so there wasn't much info to glean on. But I did notice in the Facebook screenshots she said they had to drive over 2 hours to see Josh's dying relative. I don't think Josh has any family in Michigan, aren't all his family in SC? I thought that was odd wording and makes me think they are no longer living in MI and moved into someone else's garage probably back in SC or around there.

She did mention in a YouTube comment that she lost her job because of her agoraphobia and she was getting therapy for that.

I forget if it's mentioned but she rehomed Lucipurr because he had feline HIV and she didn't want it spreading to the other cats. I'm surprised she had him for that long. I honestly lost track of all the animals, but last I remembered she had like 10 cats.

I don't think it was mentioned in the thread but I remember her saying she has rehomed Lucipurr too. She said in the most recent update 2 months ago that she only has fours cats now, Amara, the white cat with green and blue eyes and three of Amara's kittens, I think Lucipurr was the favorite until Amara came along, Raven has admitted that Amara is her favorite and that Amara and Lucipurr didn't like each other. It's for the best that she rehomed Lucipurr since they wouldn't be able to afford any treatment for him if he needed it. She also said that she and Josh have been together for six years, married for five and it's her longest ever relationship.

I don't know if they have moved or not, I thought she meant she had visited Josh's grandma before they moved to Michigan, but anything is possible. She has had problems with Josh's family pretty much from the start.

They are absolutely still squatting in the same Michigan garage. Raven has become a permanent charity case to who ever this lonely goth woman In Michigan is. She has a permanent pet granny goth now.

I’m sure she thought it was a safe plan. Help a desperate online goth friend. Raven and Josh could stay in an empty cabin during the off season and be forced to leave one spring arrived. Only they didn’t. I can only imagine trying to extract them once the first holiday renters were due. Instead of packing up and leaving Raven asked about the garage. The woman would have said “oh you can’t possibly live in there”, but Raven was very insistent they could and otherwise she was thinking they’d have to set up a tent nearby. The woman relented thinking they couldn’t possibly stand to live in a garage for very long. Wrong again!

I just wonder if Raven had to low key threaten tenant’s rights since she had been living for free for so long. No doubt suicide baiting has occurred anytime the owner might even hint about moving.

As for the free samples Raven gets, anyone with a YT channel or IG page can get that stuff. Lot cheaper for companies to give away product than pay the big boys for more targeted ads. Shipping the item is more costly to the companies than the products.

The only surprise is Raven hasn’t gone blind from shoving all the questionable quality and free colored contacts she gets.
