Samaritan was a pretty good movie and Stallone was really good in his role.
Razzie shows that, once again they are morons.

I assume they'll have Morbius sweep most categories because it was meme-able, even though it's not any worse (although maybe a little dumber) than any other capeshit that has come out in the past 5 years. Although maybe they'll shit on Blonde because the actress is based (then again, she's not nominated, so who knows). I'm surprised at how few of these I've seen, really. I saw Samaritan, and while it was far from good, I don't remember Sly being egregiously bad in it...basically just a low-key version of what he always does.

I never even heard of Good Mourning, and it's apparently the worst thing since Movie 43.

I just always feel like they should bag more on movies that could have been good like Hellraiser or Halloween: Ends or Prey (not just horror, but those were probably all so terrible that they buried (or re-buried) entire franchises), rather than movies that never had a chance at being good (Good Mourning, apparently) or movies that no one ever wanted to see, even on an airplane or in prison (Lamborghini).

Razzies sure have a boner for nominating Stallone.
Every time he makes a bigger movie, they nominate him.

Also, of course, no MCU in the nominations.
Doctor Strange 2 has the worst screenplay of the year, hands down, followed by Thor: Love and Thunder.

Lame move to choose Blonde and Good Mourning, 2 movies nobody has heard of, to get nominations in most categories, sometimes more than 1 nomination per category.
This is a joke award show, pick shit that people have seen so that they can laugh along with you.

Pretty weak line up. Blonde is obviously just there because internet feminists shit themselves over it's alleged misogyny.

I expect Morbius to sweep.

Also the lack of MCU here is pretty conspicuous. There was more than one stinker that I think was bad enough to qualify for a Razzie.

Morbius being nominated because they didn’t get the joke as to why it was being brought back into the theaters after a viral online joke on TikTok just shows that Razzies are getting out trolled by actual young people on TikTok

I'm shocked What is a Woman, Terror on the Prairie and My Son Hunter didn't get norms. Especially My Son Hunter, even taking politics out of it , it is still one of the worst movies of the year.

What's wrong with What is a Women? I watched it and laughed my fucking ass off. Something isn't inherently bad because it's highly partisan. Bros and God's not Dead were shit not because they were ideologically motivated they were shit because they were shit.

I didn't think What is a Woman was good (also haven't seen Terror on the Prairie), but with my comment I meant they normally go for right wing movies as they are easy picks for them. And with docs, they also normally win awards that make no sense like worst actor.

I haven't seen Blonde, but I'm pretty annoyed by the pearl clutching people are doing because it dare not show Marylin Monroe had a perfect life.

I've said it before and I will say it again: the Razzies have an irrational hate boner for certain actors and will nominate them regardless of how relevant it is. Doesn't matter if its a cameo role or some DTV trash no one saw, if the Razzies hate you they will nominate you before other more relevant terrible performances. Schwarzenegger got a nomination for a small part in Around the World in 80 Days even though he was in the movie less than five minutes vs other bad supporting actor performances that year, and Bush Jr. and Trump won Worst Actor for being in archive footage in documentaries which no one in their right mind would consider giving a bad performance in a movie. Jack and Jill was a terrible movie but it winning every award was excessive when there were other terrible movies that should have been made fun of as well, but none of those movies starred Adam Sandler so he wins every category past the point of the joke being funny. Certain actors like Stallone will continue to win Razzies even when they are dead and in the ground.

They're really shitting on Tom Hanks here, and kinda deservedly so. His accents in Elvis and Pinnochio were just god awful and he was pretty miscast. He pretty much made the same mistake Leto did last year, except with two movies instead of one.

Funnily enough, they probably nominated Fan Bingbing too because she got fucked so hard by the Chinese government. And because her recent movies were crap.

Honestly I'm surprised Moonfall wasn't nominated given how much of a stinker that was. I'd also say 2000 mules since Dinesh was a razzie winner before and that documentary was genuinely the dumbest thing I've seen last year. There's also Halloween Ends as well.

But as for the nominations, I expect the Morbius to sweep but I really feel like Love and Thunder should've been another Superhero movie that deserved to be nominated, but I am not surprised since Disney pushed for all their MCU films for the Oscars.

You'd think they'd have learned to back the hell off after what happened with Bruce Willis last year.

Kinda old but still funny. They removed Ryan Kiera Armstrong from the nominations and are now introducing age limits. They're apologizing for that, lol.
