This is the problem with giving everyone an equal voice and basing arguments on who you are first and what you say second (which nitro is also guilty of). It only takes one anon going "I'm [identity] but I don't agree with what you said how dare you!!" to put everyone on the defensive. If everyone can make up everything about their identity and it's all equally valid, it's all just one long session of improv and the winner will be whoever can shovel the most bullshit.

Rory has been told, and either doesn't care at all or did not think the complaints came from legitimate sources. I archive the sheer number of complaints because I am interested to see which it is.

Everyone is exaggerating too much with this, specially those people on the reblogs. I mean, it's not the first time anyone did something like this (having a fetish and calling it progressive) but everyone is hating on her all of a sudden. I think that those 3 or 4 people who were calling Rory out just became kinda popular and everyone jumped to do the same, probably so they could look progressive as well - this is Tumblr we are talking about.

I think it's worth pointing out because while many are overreacting, this is the audience Rory is appealing to.

I find it amusing that it's okay for folks to rage about Rory drawing and fetishizing a character, but if someone gives her a taste of her own medicine by drawing her in the same way she draws Steve, it's suddenly gone too far.

It's the equivalent of the school faculty being horrified that the poor kid who was picked on since day one suddenly stood up for himself and knocked the bully flat on his rear.

I haven't seen those comments, I just woke up and it's on a different blog from my main, but thanks for showing me! It's pretty fucking funny how assblasted people are over this when Rory does much fucking worse. In addition, I really don't believe her claims of being agender are real and that she's just saying that to get away with fetishizing trans people (trans men most specifically).
