People in the tumblr tags have been saying that critics should not send death threats to Rcdart because it will turn out like Zamii. However, many others have been pointing out that there hasn't been any tangible proof that death threats have been sent to Rory.
This is the only death wish in the tags I can find. I do not think this person is a troll, but for some reason I just can't take it seriously.

I know these kinds of people are basically harmless because they don't go outside and are spineless cowards, but it's still gross how they think it's acceptable to wish death on people.

I think this is the most likely possibility, since it's not just Cap she draws unable to pass- look at her trans Peggy. And her trans falcon. Just... All of them. She does the minimal amount on most of them to code them to their preferred gender, then goes hog-wild on enhancing everything that would make an actual Trans individual dysphoric.

Well you have to consider rcdart was a pretty competent, and dare I say, good artist before she hit college.
Rory's main issue has always been with stylization, and that problem has only gotten worse as she settled into her current art style without challenging herself further. I don't think much of it is Calart's fault since her style's looked about the same since 2014, but I imagine the professor's don't try to nudge her out of it too much when she isn't doing realistic work.

There's a lot of animators that get degrees from CalArts, it's a running gag with Pixar and Disney animators, as well as everything from The Simpson's to Steven Universe. (the running gag being A113 in some form or fashion) I wouldn't knock the college so much as I would the landscape of what people want to see in (children's) animation particularly, and CalArts just parrot back what people apparently want and teach them how to emulate it.

It's not really calarts' fault, but the artists. The academy is very industry based and it teaches not what's right (you're supposed to know the basics by your own) but what works in the market. The problem is, many artists who come out of it can't multitask and keep 'industry style' and 'personal style' separated, like Sugar or Cavazzano do

Yeah it's fuckin disgusting. That comic of the two brothers has been goin around on socials 2 years ago, it gets worse each time you see it
When she storyboards sad scenes in SU she puts some personal touch (especially on nervous expressions) and you remember that fuckin thing of a comic, and all your worse nightmares come back
To digest it better I put Cavazzano's which is super cute. His personal work got him into Disney comics and became their most prominent comic artist.

Correction: Sugar never attended CalArts, but School of Visual Arts in New York. But your point on industrial style and personal style still stands. Neither did Cavazzano; it was just examples of professionals who can do both what's hot in their field and what is personal to them. Many private academies work like CalArts. I should have specified that, my apologies
