This gets so much worse when you consider that all her drawings are based on the actors from the films, not the characters' depictions from the comics.

Maybe I'm pessimistic, but I'd bet that her art will only get worse, despite any efforts by her professors to help her improve. She's too proud of her "style" to do anything but take it further and further.

Kind of sad, her charcoal drawings aren't offensively ugly, but her fanart is such a goddamn eyesore. She clearly could do better but chooses not to.

I'm gonna get in on saying that she's probably not going to be able to make it through art school. There's no way she'd be able to handle the intense critique, self-exploration, and the pushing out of her comfort zone that art school is supposed to provide. It will be a glorious flameout.

Bullshit. As long as she can pony up the money they'll keep her in.

Unless you're saying she will quit, in which case, oh yeah. And then there will be the declarations of how nobody understood her genius.

Rory's family are loaded enough that she talked on Twitter about having a housekeeper, and she's juuuust good enough that I can see her finding freelance animation work. I think she'll find something that allows her to call herself a professional animator while mom and dad keep paying for the lifestyle she's accustomed to. I don't think her inevitable burnout will be professional. She doesn't really seem to have any friends, gets incredibly hostile when people pay attention to her art in a way that she doesn't approve of, and openly loathes huge chunks of her fanbase. Her personal life is always going to be a pretty lonely one, no matter how successful she can claim she is professionally.

Wasn't it Liefeld that hated drawing feet so much he would position all of his characters standing behind things that concealed everything from the ankle down?

I think what I hate even more than the above bullshit are the boots she draws that just look like big, chunky wedges with a little divot in the bottom to delineate a heel. I guess the cankles she gives characters wearing boots are preferable to the hideous misshapen legs on her other drawings, though.
