I doubt she'd think lesbian is an acceptable label in her circles because of tumblr drama. My guess (and I emphasise guess) is that Rory didn't have enough contact with men. I would guess she has never been raped or made to fear for her physical safety in any notable manner.

More like she was your typical middleclass/upperclass brokebrain: very isolated growing up and feels a large disconnect from any core identity. I say this for a few reaons:
1- she doesn't seem to have many friends or much (any) "air support" .

I'd suspect that her social contact with men is very limited, and may only include family + whatever men she can't avoid interacting with like professors or cashiers.

The only men she draws are "defanged" of their problematic qualities. Steve is trans, Tony is "POC", ditto Bucky, and no one looks at all like their canon portrayal. And Steve, the most physically-powerful looking of her frequent subjects, is given extremely feminine sexualized qualities, largely intended for her to jerk it to.

And of course I'd be willing to bet she only chats online with other genderspecials, deliberately avoiding both cis and trans men.

So yeah. She has some pretty fucked up and stereotyped ideas of what men are like. It just occurred to me why rcd here would never want her Steve anywhere near a binder - it would strangle the life out of his giant bimbo tiddies.
