Artcow rcdart / Rory Cummings-Dise - Tranny Fetishist who Torpedoed a Potential Animation Career

That Adventure Time stuff makes me think of art I've seen where people draw reimagined versions of characters to make them look more "realistic" or fit in the style of a different artist or genre, and I want to think that Rory's drawing what I assume is a vampire character as a more traditionally horrifying sort of bloodsucking fiend*. The main difference is that a lot of these artists can pull off the difference in style and Rory just...can't. It looks like she's drawing entirely different characters with no connection to the originals. Probably because they're all making those stupid pouty faces.

I imagine at art school the students would have daily critiques, right? How often do you think Rory's been told her anatomy is hideous, and why haven't we seen her losing her shit over it?

*more like cocksucking fiend amirite

um, whats wrong with it?

Tumblr's got it in their head now that being told "oh! your character/art reminds me of ______" is not a compliment but actually an insult that they're an unoriginal hack/cheap knockoff of a better product/copycat/etc. For the most part it's artists with 'original' concepts who blow this out of proportion.

...in Rory's case, it's actually spot on.

Also, Gabe/Jack from Overwatch? That commenter is clearly high as fuck.

It's a testimony to Rory' s excellent art skills that her Tony looks more akin to the (canonically) darkskinned Gabe than RDJ (that said, the shade of ambiguous brown she draws her Tony is the only thing that invites this comparison.) Obviously, her art is just THAT MUCH better than MCU canon, because her Tony looks more like a character from an entirely unrelated game, than his canonical depiction. That's how good Rory is, guys. Fanart should NEVER hold any vestige of the original character- and if you argue otherwise, you're a ~transphobe~.

checked Rory's mother FB, the mother's surname is Dise (which is Rory's second surname) and there's no one named Terry or with the surname Cummings in her friends list beyond Rory themself. Rory is either lying or Rory's second mother is actually their step-mother married to their father, not to their biological mother.

Maybe she is from one of those "look we are so progressive lesbian couple and our kid will be so enlighted and quuer" families?
"A cis" ah yes, I forgot the only people who can disagree with the Progressive Slutty Bimbo Steve fetish art can be cis. Not the many actual transgender (as in, not 'nonbinary') people who are disgusted by your public wank bank.

the fact that MORE trans people aren't offended is shocking honestly. i have no idea how rory has gotten away with it for so long.

It's pretty bizarre that non binary people are considered trans to be honest. A girl like Rory with no dysphoria and zero desire to transition has nothing in common with a transsexual, so why is she allowed to be a "voice" for trans people? Considering the focus on not talking over minorities etc on tumblr you'd think this would be more of an issue.

It's bizarre anyone takes non-binary people seriously. From what I've seen, non-binary directly translates to "I'm cis but I want those sweet oppression points". And in rory's case, those oppression points translate into getting away with her tranny minstrel show.

After going deeper in to her twitter not only does she change her mind on what she is a lot but there are many tweets in which she calls herself trans. I think this goes further than "I so oppressed" that she has a fetish for not only making fictional character trans but just being trans in general.

So she's just gender opportunistic, adapting whatever is more useful or "fun" at the time. She's not only making a mockery of trans people through her art but also through her lifestyle.

Well, it goes back through trans history. Trans people in the past didn't get to transition unless they were attractive, gender conforming, straight, and lucky. Because of that the trans community thinks any kind of gatekeeping is icky and anyone who points out that ~nonbinary nondysphoric demigirls~ have nothing in common with transsexuals gets shouted down for being a "gatekeeping asshole". Now tumblr has bullshit like ~dysphoric privilege~ because upper class girls with a gender crisis are totally being oppressed by the evil transsexuals.

Usually I dont get annoyed with tumblr or their antics but after seeing friends in states of serious dysphoria the "trans" community on tumblr seriously pisses me off.

Well, trans health care was free in the United States until 1980, when trans-exclusionary radical feminist Janice Raymond somehow convinced the government that trans people were undeserving of any form of help. After that was when the whole 'attractive, gender conforming, straight, and lucky' nonsense kicked in because the DSM's definition of 'gender identity disorder' was mostly based around gender roles rather than gender dysphoria. The biggest reason the trans community has the problems it has today is because "transgender" has been used to refer to anyone who challenges societal gender norms; transsexuals, transvestites/cross-dressers, drag kinds and queens, intersex people, androgynous people, "genderqueers"... the list goes on.

Rory here is benefiting from this because she can call herself transgender without actually being transsexual, even though the two have basically because synonymous.

It wasn't her it was because of the research done by Paul McHugh, former Psychiatrist in Chief at Johns Hopkins. Quote:
We at Johns Hopkins University—which in the 1960s was the first American medical center to venture into “sex-reassignment surgery"—launched a study in the 1970s comparing the outcomes of transgendered people who had the surgery with the outcomes of those who did not. Most of the surgically treated patients described themselves as “satisfied” by the results, but their subsequent psycho-social adjustments were no better than those who didn’t have the surgery. And so at Hopkins we stopped doing sex-reassignment surgery, since producing a “satisfied” but still troubled patient seemed an inadequate reason for surgically amputating normal organs.
