Artcow rcdart / Rory Cummings-Dise - Tranny Fetishist who Torpedoed a Potential Animation Career

Had no idea Lucy Liu, Nicki Minaj, and Cher were separated at birth! Guess there's something to be learned from Rory's art after all.

And this coming from a girl who rages at character designers in the industry for not having enough juicy trans tiddies diversity in their cartoon lineups.

Rory can say it's her "style" as a defense, but it's a weak one. The facial structure of those new Elementary drawings are horrid and actually fucking nightmare inducing. Especially that last colored one.

There's so many mistakes with these, but to name a few would be that every portrait has crossed eyes, the second drawing has inconsistent and painful facial structure, and some drawings have that terrible tumblr side-mouth. It's really sad that all that money is being used on her art education, which, by the looks of it, is only deteriorating the quality of her art. I feel bad for all the people who "look up" to her as an artist, because they're being terribly mislead and drawing from the observation of a lackluster artist, rather than learning and observing themselves where they can actually catch their own mistakes.

Isn't she studying animation? How will that work out for her, especially with portraits and figures like this?
If they're training to be an animator, won't matter. Animators pretty much never do character design (And someone will probably bring up a Disney animator to me who's done character design, but they weren't animating on that production that much if they're doing concept art. You don't have time to do both).

Rory just needs to be able to animate which we haven't seen that much of, so can't comment their skill or lack thereof in regards to a professional career.

Makes sense, everything seems to be in a permanent smear state with as bad as the details are.

An animator must also know and do character design and storyboard, and then art direction if they have enough experience. It's common practice to switch roles up and do multiple things at once on the same cartoon, especially if it's a small project (Long Gone Gulch's creators are doing all four roles for it)
Of course any creator has a role they are particularly good at, but you must know how all of them work and collaborate, or the project becomes a clusterfuck. An example: Steven Universe characters varying heights from scene to scene cause of storyboarders not knowing the importance of consistency in character design

Rory recently posted this on her twitter, and goddamn does it take me back to when she wasn't regressing all the time. It doesn't look that bad, imo, and that's probably because it doesn't focus on people and her wonky as hell proportions. The angle the car's at in comparison to the person there looks a bit weird, but it doesn't have anything glaringly terrible or horrifying like in the Elementary pics.

Usually SJW brats when they get accused of portraying POCs as ugly animals in their arts they pull out the "I'm a POC I look like that/my friend's a POC and they like it so it's valid uwu" card to get free of criticism.

I still feel the Rory discourse on tumblr hasn't been touched enough tho. Enough people complained about how she fetishized trans folks, but I've seen nobody rightly complain about how she draws latinos as these ugly hairy hambeasts. I guess tumblr don't care for latinos except when to rage against Trump and the gendered spanish language...*sigh*
