I really liked this image for reasons I can't really explain. I think it might be due to the ridiculous levels of floof.

The concept for the video could work but it really needed more effort put into it.

That's probably the best thing she's drawn this year.

She's consistently lazy with arms and hands, so I'd imagine that's one of her weak spots, judging from those gesture drawings and her art in general. Her human faces are so awful, so of course her drawings looks slightly better when she draws animals/furries.

Edit: I just realized that Rory's lazy snowball hands reminds me of Anpanman, and even then at least Anpanman's stylistic choice makes some fucking sense, unlike Rory who applies it to even her semi-realistic drawings. What a hack.

For someone who doesn't know how to color inside the lines, Rory leaves quite a few bits uncolored. At least Chris didn't have as many problems as Danny, though that's not saying much.

I for one am eagerly awaiting the day she's done with Calarts and tries to find a job and gets turned down because of her shit attitude, OR getting a job and losing it for the same reasons. Both of course resulting in a whiny Twitter meltdown.

Also, I'd be super interested in seeing someone trying to recreate the like, bone structure of her drawings, ala hyper realistic drawings of cartoon characters.

I know I'm late (forget about this thread), but Rory's "music video" is awful and here is another Cal Arts music video for comparision:

And it seems she believes in "nothing is impossible" motto and managed to get even more lazy with her art.

It's as if Rory looks at professional minimalist drawings, especially storyboard drawings and says to herself, "Hey I can do that, too," and she fails horribly because she doesn't have a good grasp of the foundations of drawing. In that particular image, everything is just a bunch of shapes cobbled together. There is no flow, no dynamism.
