Artcow rcdart / Rory Cummings-Dise - Tranny Fetishist who Torpedoed a Potential Animation Career

god i hate the "IF YOU DONT LIEK IT DON'T LOOK" argument, like how tf can i not look at it if its right in front me in my face
Further to that, if it's not right in front of my face? How am I supposed to know if I'm going to think someone's art is bloody awful if I'm not allowed to look at it first, just in case I think a mean thing?

Ya know, this argument would work better if it was in regards to something like ships - there's lots of obscure ships out there that are totally fine that people screech about because it involves one character they don't like, and they search for it anyway to screech about. They wouldn't find it in the first place if they didn't look for it(usually).

On the other hand, If you searched for captain america pics, you might come across fetishy trans captain america without intending to look for it. You just wanted captain america, but instead you get pictures of underboob cap or ripped shirt exposing titties image (toooottally not fetishizing trans people. Nope. Nuh uh. I'm sure the chasers love those images). Lotsa people who have issues with it were trans, but apparently their opinion doesnt matter if THEY say it, it only matters when people speak up for them.

Sorry if this got :autism:rambly:dumb:, and I hope my comparison was ok. I hate when people use the "just don't look at it" argument for shit that you can easily find without even trying.

Agreed. The way people abuse the "Don't like, don't look" saying is the internet equivalent of someone blasting music really loud and saying "you don't have to listen to it!" When they're told to turn it off. At least on the internet you can block that shit and move on, but it's still annoying.

Side note: I'm not the kind to have the "The whole internet needs to be censored because THINK OF THE CHILDREN!!!" mentality, but I'm pretty sure Rory's blog wasn't flagged as inappropriate, and pretty much anything that wasn't straight-up porn (to Rory's eyes, at least. You can't convince me that Steve ripping his shirt to showcase his massive titties ISN'T porn) was put on their sfw blog. The thought of some 13 year old looking up their favorite superhero and seeing Rory's shitty art and blatant cuntboy fetish is just all kinds of horrifying to me. Like, at least flag that shit.

Children should not be allowed on the internet.

Eh, I missed the whole drama. Racist Finn is one thing, but Kylo Ren is so wonderfully ugly there is not suprise picture went viral.
It's a weird feeling when one of lolcows you discovered became a meme. That would be nice if she finelly learned something, but I'm gonna miss her antics.

There is still that film with "Strawberry" character she is making so I reccoment checking her vimeo: https://vimeo.com/user65795967

New account, long-time lurker, all that jazz.

Alternatively, the sperm donor is Mexican.
She said she went to the movies (was it Book of Life?) with her "mexican mom" (who she has called white before) and that said mom kept saying "thats such a mexican thing to do"
Honestly she looks like 1950s photos of my scots-irish grandmother so regardless of her ethnic percentages you can guarantee she has never once been oppressed for "being" mexican. Or sounding mexican, because she tries to sound black.

Ah yes, everyone who doesn't like Rory's racist transphobic art is truscum.
Even though plenty of the people calling them out were trans.

Words have no meaning and asses can be worn as hats.
Trans can be truscum. It just means they don't accept genderspecials and people who claim to have no dysphoria. It's transmedicalism.

It nettles me that this art of Captain America is supposedly representation for Transmen who WUUUUV their boobies, and is defended as such, yet she very specifically wrote this character as having been debilitatingly dysphoric to the point that his overbinding caused him to be the weak wormy bitch we see pre-serum.

At a glance it seem the few non-anon people claiming to be transmen who TTLY LUV her art are people who are only "sometimes" transmen genderfluids (AKA glorified crossdressers who weren't oppressed enough when they were called crossdressers) or are just flat out fake.

The only person this would "help" is someone who is really nothing more than a rebel trying to stick it to The Man with a bad haircut looking for someone to validate their lack of trying or fetish. The opinions of people like that should not overshadow the infinitely greater number of people who are trying to tell her just the opposite.

It would have been just fine if she had tagged her shit but this was posted in the marvel tag for all to see with no way to blacklist, and unlike getting triggered at an ugly racial caricature, dysphoria isn't something you have to think about to be offended by. It just happens to the body with or without thought. They're not just sperging out because it's politically incorrect.

I found having trans topics in your history will make google think you want to see trans ""art"" of characters you've searched for via google images so even if you blocked her tumblr you could still have your eyes assaulted with this garbage until you just left the fandom entirely.

I never thought the reason I'd finally make an account here would be to revive the RCDart thread, but here we are.

The Strawberry video is finally upon us: https://vimeo.com/266200432

It was pretty anticlimactic for me. Nothing about it seems outstanding or awful. It just looks like what all the art she made about it before was promoting. So :optimistic: maybe her style's stagnated and won't continue on a rapid downward spiral like before now that she's largely offline?

:powerlevel: I'm extremely hard of hearing so I can't actually tell if it's unpleasant to watch thanks to the soundtrack or something. The credits include voice acting. I've got to admit, I'm dying of curiosity. Who saw Strawberry's design and thought, I have to voice this? What kind of dialogue would fit with a short with this kind of tone and pacing? Holding out for someone with working ears to enlighten me about what happened here.

Boy, I sure do love me some intergender matches.

Edit: All she said was, "'This was a mistake," in the bath scene, and, "This isn't what I want, but it's better" at the end.

Overall, it's kinda uninspired, but I noticed that the animation was smoother, there was some attention to detail like the bouncing of the ropes and stuff at the beginning, and Rory did try to animate complicated objects like automobiles.

TL;DR: I didn't like the creative aspect, but I thought the technical aspect was okay. But idk, I'm no animator.

that was extremely underwhelming and mildly confusing

as for the dialogue, you arent missing much. in the bath scene she says "this was a mistake" and in the final scene she says "this isnt what i want(ed?), but its better" voice acting is...ok i guess. its only like 2 lines and pretty insignificant. music isnt horrible but doesnt really stand out to me either.

overall its just very meh

This film is both badly drawn and animated and it made no sense to me.
So she's into- and likes this rich monopoly man (for his money) and marries him, and rich monopoly man seems genuinely happy to be with her. So she's having a great time together with him until she simply gets bored and leaves him? That's it?

The only thing I liked was the tiger. It was cute.

This short tells me that Strawberry is a gold digger who go for any rich man and be together with him until she gets bored then leave the guy.

And we're supposed to like this character?

the music is probably the best thing abt this, as in... its not as bad as everything else... its just a generic beat with some barely audible audience cheering at the beginning as she tosses someone by their hair a bit, someone who doesnt seem like they even wanna be there. and then some equally generic Sad Music^tm in the end, with what sounds like stock sound effects for things, like the car screech...

i assume were meant to find this strawberry chick sexy but its really hard when the only indication of it is her doing a very badly animated hair flip and her muscles being shown to the camera surrounded by sparkled with p fucking bad sparkle sound affects holy shit
its possible to present the idea that a character is considered sexy, even if she's not conventionally attractive or anyone's personal taste, but this wasnt done well here

the thing just feels not finished, like an animatic , with the bare minimum visuals and audio just to get an idea cross. i really hope thats the case, and this isnt a final finished piece

I think it's better than anything else she's done; follows more of an actual story, better animation especially in the more relaxed scenes, has an actual end. The fight's weird in my opinion, but nothing that can't be fixed with practice. All in all, pretty decent, if not on her personality she's definitely improving on her animation skills.

It's better than her previous work but it's still unimpressive considering how much time she had, plus the caliber of other student works for the same project.

The shots with Strawberry in the beginning don't have weight and speed, like when she's supposed to be slamming or dragging the other chick (esp that punch, wtf). It's a lot of pin up animations that are extremely simple to accomplish.

Overall, Rory has not seemed to improved at animation. The animations do not move more than a few frames, they're accomplished in just a few onion skins, and they're very unambitious. The appeal of her work depends solely on the colors and composition, which (despite the morbidity of Strawberry's anatomy) is better than the cat video.

It looks to me like she's still using Flash. Or if it's TV Paint, it's really under-utilizing the program. I hope for her sake, she aspires to do work that isn't so messy and plain. I know there's an appeal in unconnected lines, but she's not quite hitting the mark imo.

I'm not going to talk about narrative, music or dialogue since you guys have got it covered.
