I honestly don't believe she drew this. And based on many cows, expect her to have plagiarized this. Because otherwise she'd be recognized as a second Picasso, while she can't even do a short animation that's not 5 frames.

I disagree. We have examples of her actually putting effort into drawing animals, so her putting more effort into something when pushed to doesn't surprise me.

Rory is a cow who wastes her potential and is lazy, rather than just being untalented.

Of course. I shouldn't have been so quick to jump the gun as to simple plagiarism. Of course she's a narc cow who wants to shit out something like that... thing and get just as much praise for it as the animal paintings. I just didn't want to believe someone would be gifted with/work towards that talent and then just do nothing with it. Even people like Van Gogh when he wanted to kill himself, when no one would see his art, didn't waste the talent he had

While I wouldn’t go so far as to call it plagiarism as I’m pretty sure these are her own pets, she’s definitely way too dependent on photo references and this likely wasn’t 100% freehand. If I had to guess, it looks like she took one photo or a mismatch of photos and either projected the image onto the canvas or traced the contours with a pencil.

It paints a pretty clear picture that Rory is great at copying what’s in front of her and her painting technique is fine, but can’t actually translate that into anything of substance without some sort of crutch. Which explains why her animation stuff looks like a horrific Frankenstein of incompatible design elements with no rhyme or reason.

Oh dear, Rory’s disinterest in making her own original stuff over fanart is really showing through if she’s a 3rd year and going with something as cliche as “animation project about being in art school.” Unless she just had a very short deadline to pitch an idea, that’s usually a sign that the student gets out so little that the only thing they have to draw on for inspiration is school.

I know I posted a few weeks ago, and that Rory is a dead cow by this point, but my friend and I discovered one of Rory's old art blogs. I don't know if this was posted earlier (I don't recall it being posted, so if it was, that's my bad), but her style).
