Ready or Not - The 2nd video game to let you flash bang a small child

"I can't recommend the game because despite fun gameplay; it doesn't talk about George Floyd being a saint, or how playing as a SWAT officer leads to racial injustice."

There's moments these people act so fucking spergy about this game and let their retarded politics get in the way of enjoying it, that it wants to make me go full Back the Blue/Blue Lives Matter on them out of nothing but pure spite.

So the ready or not devs had to make another black text post about how some easter egg boxes in the game weren't alt-right calling cards because kotaku is ran by utter retards and shit flingers.

their tweet: https://twitter.com/VOIDInteractive/status/1479304331270762508?s=20
Kotaku still hasn't recovered from gamergate, hence why they think most these references are "alt-right dogwhistles"
I love how the new excuse to get mad is a fucking redpill reference and a "noggin joggin" joke and not Whore Foods Vitamin D supplements for Boner Health

You're forgetting the best one (not my screenshot, found it on the subreddit):

I like the concept that Police Propaganda is bad and shit & yet teenagers play Battlefield and COD which has been filled with tons of military propaganda to the point I'm disappointed you don't finally fight a Lava Monster.

I don't blame the devs for removing meme content, I prefer games not making themselves feel immensely dated down the line anyway.

The dev team already drew their line in the sand and better not flinch.

Wah, wah, cry me a river, fuck boy. How dare I play a game where I get to play as the 99.9% of cops you don't hear about because they go about their jobs without incident. Jesus Christ, this guy acts like this is a George Floyd Kneeling Simulator, when in fact, you're the guy saving the day and making sure people get to go home in one piece.

Cry baby faggots aside, I've tested out a mod that allows you to use some of the weapons currently in development. They're in very rough shape, but plenty of them are useable. Some could use a little polish, though. The P90 for instance needs to have its firing rate adjusted, as I've timed it, and dumping a 50-round mag on that sucker takes 8 seconds, where-as a real P90 can do it in about 3. The tear gas grenade launcher is broken. It appears to fire a bomb down-range, but the gas always come out at your feet. The real star of the show, though, are the 9-bangers, which sound like a fucking thunderstorm when you toss them into a room full of armed suspects. Fucking amazing.

Now that I think of it, remember Battlefield: Hardline? That shit is closer to police propaganda than this is.

Hardline would've been a cool game if you played as a standard beat cop instead of trying to be a police procedural in the campaign. The multiplayer felt extremely goofy, but I'd still take it over the utter dumpster fire known as 2042.

Its an action movie with cops and robbers as a motif, SWAT and RoN is technically copaganda because of the fact it is a realistic depiction of law enforcement with the opportunity to smack the shit out of mouthy perps and hostages. And that is fine imo, the worry these shitheads have is that any alt right group will rally around it in a worse case scenario because it lets them beat up some ethnic minority as well as the cynical satire products.

Remember these ain't burger devs, they don't have a thin blue line cop mentality that the alt right gathers around but the fact they are already making a heated product means these kind of questions will have to be answered or the silent means tacit approval.

Realistically, any SWAT operation would have more than just 5 people. For the most part, the outside entrance area would be a non-issue for the team since there'd be a line of police holding the perimeter (in other words, you wouldn't have to be re-clearing the front and back entrances of the Gas Station level). Raids would also be done with a sizable enough team that you wouldn't have to constantly be "leaving doors for later." And in larger operations with multiple buildings or floors, you'd probably have several teams conducing the raids. Hell, street cops dealing with a single druggie with a knife usually have more than 5 officers on scene. For the most part, I can forgive RoN for this. It's a game, and it wouldn't be as fun if you only had to clear one or two rooms.

The size of Hotel is fine IMO. The map feels controllable enough that it's fine to play. I think the bigger problem in terms of size is the warehouses map. You have one massive multi-story building that could probably be a map unto itself, but then you have several other two-story warehouse buildings and several outdoor lots to clear after that. It's overwhelming as fuck.
The more I'm looking into this game the more I'm starting to think it's falling into the Sniper Elite trap of simply viewing bigger = better and not understanding the benefits of tighter spaces that increase the difficulty without needing to pad out the enemy count. It doesn't seem as though the devs realise the tension of knowing that the enemy is behind one of five doors, as opposed to one of five hundred doors.

I hope they work it through and create a good game, but more time passes, the more it looks like it's falling into the 'spiritual sequel' trap of ending up with a game that makes you want to go play Swat 4 again.
