Ready or Not - The 2nd video game to let you flash bang a small child

I think the biggest issue for gameplay right now is how fuck huge most of the maps are for four players against aimbot AI.
Honestly, maybe its my luck but I didnt have any aimbot encounter stuff, I will say that the AI is plenty stupid and just rushes you, maybe on a few ocassions they ran to a different room, but usually they would just run headfirst into my guys and get ventilated.

It's been half and half for me. I also play with randos so they could just be retarded.

The owner of the Modded or Not discord, Mal0/Lewd SCP 1471/I-wanna-fuck-SCP1471 deleted the server at the behest of 6 unidentified members of the server after being unable to find the "transfer ownership" function. They then proceeded to go on the game subreddit to defend their honor to the unwashed masses and made themselves look abjectly IQ deficient.

They're a KF janny too. https://kiwifarms.net/members/mal0.72093/
Animal Control. Makes a lot of sense.
Saw this discussed in chat today, has it been confirmed that both Mal0 and Mal.0 are the same, the usernames, SCP 1471 interest, and Mal's recent disappearance seem like strong circumstantial evidence at a glance. Has it been brought to @Null's attention?

The last update was fantastic, my god the AI also got fucked really hard. Witnessed one suspect AI tank 4 shots of 7.62 NATO to the chest without as much as flinching, and he didn't even have body armor on. Meanwhile I'm getting double tapped by suspects with a tec-9 despite wearing heavy armor.

I enjoy it but they released it seriously unfinished even by early access standards. It's also pretty edgelordy in weird ways. In one level there's a naked woman chained up next to a dog bowl and covered in shit, the civilians all make weird comments about wanting to fuck you or their moms "Mexican maid", little girl ODing on meth...

Like they're playing the "THIS IS REAL STUFF THAT HAPPENS!" angle but it's obvious they weren't taking a lot of this shit seriously and some of it is just straight up excessive and grim. I'm not squeamish about dark shit in general, but it's the fratboy atmosphere I get with everything else in the game that sticks out. You can sort of imagine these guys drinking bud lite in their friends living room and trying to out do each other on being fucked up

Don't have a lot of experience with Type As, do you? It's very frat like. That's how a lot of people deal

In my opinion ready or not has a identity crisis the devs are trying to solve , but im concered they are gonna make it too serious and not fun , but we can only wait and see.

The January update is cool but the game is still really barren feature wise , and active shooter needs a reworked scoring system desperately.

They've completely fucked the RoE in the latest update. I play Co-Op with some buddies, and we've had numerous instances of baddies either shooting at us, or feigning surrender before drawing a gun, and we get dinged for Unauthorized Use of Deadly Force for pelting him with lead. However, we can wallbang crooks through doors with no warning what-so-ever, and the game says that's totally fine.

However, I do like how the AI can now travel from room to room. Now I don't feel completely useless for taking up rear echelon while my buddy scans the door with the mirror wand. I've had several cases where-in we're huddled up against a door, and I notice some guy charging at our group from behind. I love the introduction of a small amount of chaos that ensures everyone's staying alert.

Edit: Checked through the RoN Reddit community, and it looks like I'm not the only one experiencing the fucked RoE.

Had a suspect charging at me with a shotgun and I gunned him down only to get a "excessive use of force" penalty.

Doing that in real life would always be a justification for a cop to shoot you.

We've had a similar instance happen before the January update. My buddies were engaged with a fire-fight with a militant on the Cherryessa Farm level in the wine cellar. After a few moments from retreating, he charged towards us, SMG in hand. Then, in the last 1/20th of a second of his life, having seen three semi-automatic shotguns ready to perforate him into oblivion, he decided to throw down his gun. Because he decided to throw up his hands at that moment, the game decided that we were bad cops for shooting a man charging at us with a weapon in hand.

There is no jurisdiction in the world that would've called that Unauthorized.

The next update really needs some tweaks to the ROE, but also to the AI. This is the sort of stuff that doesn't want me to play it constantly.

Games acting like RealSims (like War Thunder) ends up being unfun at the very end. Games should be fun, not a chore.

Seems like they've finally worked out the kinks on the RoE. Before, I'd have suspects drawing weapons after feigning surrender, and I'd get penalized for unauthorized force for gunning them down like any sane person would. Now, the last time I played the only time I got dinged for unauthorized force is when a civilian got grazed in cross fire during a gun fight.

Lately my group has found that there's a lot of benefit to having set roles. The ones we use are:

Scout - doorwand, light armor, subgun. Carries wedges and stingers and face wear is context dependent.

Breacher - battering ram/breaching shotgun, heavy armor, rifle or subgun.
Carries stingers and C2, face wear either ballistic mask or NVs.

Shield bearer - Ballistic shield, heavy armor, subgun. Handgun either G19 or 5-7.
Throwables/tacticals is entirely up to them, they get ballistic mask or NVs.

Rifleman - backup doorwand, heavy armor, rifle. Flash or stingers, C2, NVs or ballistic mask.

Non-lethal - back up battering ram, heavy armor, pepperball gun or beanbag shotgun. Taser is up to them, I don't find it worthwhile.
Stingers or flashbacks, pepper spray, and face wear is up to them.

So its been a bit.

Since March there hasn't been a new content update, april update was never announced , may got rolled into june , and as of now the devs have delayed the june update twice with no info regarding its release. (went from all players first week of june to just supporters sometime in the first two weeks of june), subreddit is full of memes regarding the delay and a sense of disappointment seems to be setting in to the new players who started following the game in December.

Been playing Star Citizen this last month. It is surprisingly fun in its eternal-proto-state.
