Ready or Not - The 2nd video game to let you flash bang a small child

The ready or not devs are seemingly draining the good will of the reddit community given the lack of news about the june update OTHER than a post on page 3 of the steam forums, which as we all know is the main place we get news about games.
Ya know, its kinda weird. Somethin like Zero Hour devs put out more updates with newer maps and stuff, while the game is made more fo PvP stuff, one can still do solo missions in co-op, heck it kinda has more features tjat Ready or Not is missing, like being allowed yo choose an entry point.

The last update of theirs I read was that faggot pandering art contest that pissed everyone off.

Maybe it's just me, but I'm not particularly enraged the way others seem to be. Personally, delays aren't the end of the world for me, and they have shown us content that proves they've been working on it to tide us over, so it's not like they're leaving us out to dry.

Waiting sucks, I know, but we'll get it eventually. I grew up in an era where the philosophy was "A delayed game is eventually good, a rushed game is forever bad." Granted, Miyamoto said that back when games couldn't be patched, but at the very least it taught me the virtue of patience.

...And besides, we're talking about a video game here, not humanitarian aid we need to survive after a hurricane.

Im not really mad , its a bit disappointing , i think its fun to see people new to the ride getting mad at it however

Double post but update on June update: The Deadlines are gone, it will be out when its out , and void has tried to gaslight people into thinking that "Putting the finishing touches on it" means "Its delayed"

The void defense brigade seems to have started up with one of the top posts on reddit for today being about defending the delay , when most people seem to be mad about not announcing the delay publicly and hiding news about it in obscure places.

To state my personal opinion on this, ive followed Ready or not since the first trailer or not long after, so im used to voids non existent communication with the community outside the supporter discord, so while im slightly disappointed im glad this is hopefully showing new members the type of company void is, i hope the fanbase doesn't become a hug box for the devs.

The supporter discord is almost unequivocally a cock sucking hug box for devs. I finally muted it permanently months ago because those people don't seem to understand that you're not friends with these faggots, you have paid them for a product and they are dragging ass on it. There's no accountability.

That being said, my personal sense of self doesn't hinge on a probably permanent EA game. I'll just play it here and there when I want to because I know my money is already gone.

Lets be honest the kinda or person to pay 120 bucks for a game to get a few skins and possible future dlc is the exact type of fag to gain a parasocial realtionship with devs , doesnt help the fact that discord lends itself heavily to that type of relationship.

Ah, the age of instant gratification. "I want my game content and I want it NOW!" I'm willing to bet 90% of the people whining about the fact that the update isn't out yet has no idea what goes into programming and testing a video game to make sure everything's right.*

I speak from experience on the matter that it is nowhere remotely easy. It is extremely time-consuming and frustrating. So much as a single typo can throw everything off, and sometimes, bugs happen not because of anything you did, but because bugs exist in your devkit, and so you only options at that point is to wait for an update to your devkit, or come up with some retarded work-around that will probably hamper your game's performance (not just running, but also compiling for tests) in the long run.

As for now? I'm just biding my time playing other games to cleanse my palette. When the update drops, I'll give my Discord friends a notice and we'll be back to kicking ass on the streets of Los Suenos.

*And if they did release the update, the same people would probably whine about how buggy and unpolished the new content is. There really is no winning solution here for the developers.

Most of the people upset are more upset that the devs missed a self imposed dead line and proceeded to hide from the backlash , not that the update got delayed.
Only people ive seen mention anger over the update not being out are people trying to shutdown the people complaining about void missing the deadlines with a straw man.

Update is out for supporters
change log here https://store.steampowered.com/news/app/1144200/view/3370395218647880369
Things i think stand out in the changelog are:
>Valley of dolls and Club are done , minus some minor additions and custom npcs
>3 new markup maps, Ridgeline which seems to be a mix of unabomber and ruby ridge, Hospital which is about a cult going after a mass shooter in the ICU, And Agency which is about a illegal porn ring.
>New weapons including the MP5A3, MP5 10mm, MP9, PFC9, and two supporter guns, suspects also get a AR 15 and M249.
>New destruction for cars along side realistic penetration for them, so hiding behind the engine block will be the safe way to take cover
>Ai get many new systems , ai can play dead , commit suicide ad fake suicide, Ai can take cover, and new suicide vest ai are added alongside the first pass of the gore system, i hope these guys only appear on missions where applicable.
>Tac700 was removed

Update will probably launch for us normal edition players in a week or two.

As of now none of the maps are designed around that, seems like the devs tried that but dropped it at some point.
That's a shame, 'cause that would have given the game a more tactical approach side, with say one team going through the back and one going through the front.

it may return but all the maps currently have a very clear entry point, and if they dont im sure modders will make maps with multiple entry points

It is currently delisted on Steam.

Prysm takes place in the aftermath of a terrorist attack at a nightclub, and depicts the scene of a mass shooting, with piles of bodies strewn across the map. The level bears some resemblance to the 2015 Bataclan shooting in Paris, as well as the 2016 shooting at Pulse nightclub. Questionably, the map was added on June 12 – the anniversary of the Pulse nightclub shooting.

While no connection has been confirmed, Valve has removed games depicting similar scenes in the past – in 2018, Valve de-platformed a game called Active Shooter after complaints from campaigns from parents of school shooting victims.

Releasing a gay club massacre level on the anniversary of a gay club massacre during pride month is a ballsy move to avoid finishing work on the game, let's see how it works out.

Devs implied its a issue on steams backend , no mention of content, and active shooter was taken down because the dev was a known scammer and ban evader.

from backend issue to something that has never gotten a steam game removed before, all in the span of 24 hours. Theres no way the devs removed the game because it was getting review bombed because people don't want to pay 120 dollars for updates that that they'll get in 6 months with no changes anyway.
