Thread terrorist here, just stopping by. How do these people get "jobs" as community managers? How do these jobs even exist, and how is there even money for that? And after all that, how do you decide to post the one thing that will get you fired from your one of a kind job?
One thing I've noticed is how often community managers are women, often of zero gaming experience let alone interest. You'll see a fucking titan of japanese game development on stream, right next to some 21 year old blonde who sucked esports dick to be 100 Thieve's social media "manager" or what have you.

All the while games like Astroneer were 100% saved by a good community manager.

To make up for this they need to make a free Antifa DLC, where you clean out the Antifa HQ and boss fight George Soros at the end.
They need to make a level where you have no lethal options but you can detain/beat rioters using bean-bag rounds, mace, nightsticks, tasers, 40mm grenade launchers. You can also kill them if you really want to with the less than lethals like you can in the main game.

CSAM related material, because it was apparently "illegal"(then how the fuck did it make it into the core game, then?).
Nexus is directly hosted in the UK and that was the issue, if it was hosted in the US it wouldn't have been a legal issue, in the UK it would be. The truly uncensored version of Uncensored or Not is on Mod.io, as Mod.io doesn't have the same guidelines as Nexus.

I really unironically want that. Not necessarily in RoN, but in  something.

The tension, the buildup, and witnessing the moment that sets off the powder keg. A few seconds of "oh fuck no" before absolute chaos. Maybe get taken the fuck out at the end of the sequence by someone ripping your gas mask off after CS Gas has been deployed.

It'd be like the Battle of Helm's Deep mixed with the nuke drop from OG Modern Warfare 1, but less lethal.

Thats a lot of faggot themed Discord servers :story:

I know who this is, he used to be part of the community for the Universal Gundam Century Online private server called Titan Server I think all the way back in like 2010 or something, he was a massive 4chan /m/ poster back in the day.

sounds like he had developed trolls remorse or he hasn't changed since back then.

The Ready or Not devs, Void Interactive, (Allegedly) paid a Reddit astroturfing company to defend the censorship that came alongside the console release.

Cross post on the RoN subreddit regarding the company and the posts shilling Void.

The initial post on r/games was already archived, so I assume it's already being talked about here. I am only interested in the RoN angle of this situation, discussion of the larger corruption and astroturfing would be more appropriate in a dedicated thread.

By the way, why did people make such a huge fuss about censorship (void, please, send me money)?

I had an eye on the game for awhile. Did not bother buing it because of early access, but got a key right after the drama. I did my research about the topic, but I think the changes themselves weren't such a big deal. The technical part of the problem is much more concerning. Or did I just miss something?

Holy shit the company is astroturfing KF, too!

Most people saw it as a massive betrayal of what Void said they stood for, censoring their own game just to market it to console players, which seems to go against everything they had said before. Personally I always took a somewhat sympathetic stance towards Void, that canning the console release over some rather minor changes was retarded, but knowing Void potentially paid a company to Astroturf the discussion is making me way less sympathetic.

"WE'RE GOING TO MAKE A HARDCORE SWAT GAME THAT DOESN'T SHY AWAY FROM SHOWING THE FUCKED UP THINGS REAL COPS EXPERIENCE"
censors their own game for console money and tells you it's for your own good
The changes, while seemingly minor, do genuinely have an impact on the experience. You may not think some more blood and a little nudity makes a difference, but it's the little details that help add to the bigger picture. Void can suck my cock though, I'd refund the game if I could. They've shown over the years that their claims of a raw uncensored experience are bullshit. Don't get the game if you don't have friends, especially. Game sucks by yourself.

All of this just so they wouldn't need to make a seperate build of the game, and likely FAR more expensive (not just in terms of paid shilling but potential profit loss). It is worse when the only discussion of the game now is just the fans begging Void to grow balls and uncensor the PC version. How is it even possible to fuck up this bad?

Void has a new money making scheme this Christmas Archive

For $270 you can get 25 dollars of overstock merch they already sell but have been struggling to get rid of, a vinyl, piece of paper, and a resin sculpture.

The sculpture is a limited edition run of 4500 and the one shown in the video so number 4495. So I'm assuming they printed out the full run of 4.5k. Even assuming only 25 percent sell at full price and they drop it down to around 200 and sell the rest at that they are still going to be making over a million in revenue.

Also, the nvg model is on the wrong way lol.

Hateful grifting potatonigger scum.

I recently downloaded it for my computer after briefly playing it on my the HeXBox of my roommate's boyfriend, I wasnt aware of the potatonigger's digital usury but the game is great with mods!

They should give out 'ICE' uniforms for use in the game, and make a new mission where you take out illegals immigrants, then i might forgive their censorship.

The mission where you go down into the tunnels and shoot the people smugglers is kino. That will probably get replaced in the next patch with a mission where you have to save a drag queen story hour from heckin right wing chuds.

Did the feminist cult cult have any troons in it?
I don't think so but apparently they have body armour on so Void's modeling leaves much to be desired. I take AP instead of JHP when I'm foid hunting now anyway.

Modders would do that but ever since VOID thought trooning their UE4 game to UE5 was a good idea, RoN modding is pretty much dead.

Ready or Not's complete downfall should be studied, as a case-by-case basis on how NOT to run a game.

EDIT: I watched this video and saw a VOID hiring ad near the end:
"Monetization Specialist"

Pack it up boys. RoN is dead. I wasted my money for this dogshit.
