Some subs hide that option by fudging the CSS of the page itself to try and hide dissent. Could be that the app is copying the sub's formatting. Though I would not put it past Reddit to try and destroy the option.

Sometimes I wonder why I continue reading reddit when it's the same old used up jokes done again and again.
Then I recall it's for the 1% of the actually good content, like /askhistorians. Genuine Nazi mods who will remove any and all classic reddit jokes (puns, The Office references, troonism) and demand the highest possible quality answers to questions. If more subs were like that it would be far more readable and far less reeking of unwarranted self importance and delusion.

I don't know what it is about Petersson that makes redditors in particular seeth so much. This is a 4 second clip of peterson being asked "What is the most important thing to you in life" and him responding "Not being stupid". Which then follows a 3 minute projection screed by a fat hipster of posetive and negative identities. Now I think it's more rational to argue that Petersson as a an academic and a public figure dosen't want to be considred stupid. That for the most part it's more in line with conforming to societal standards then anything else.
This positive and negative shit sound like it came straight out of a marxism and deconstruction and only works if you accept the framework of idenity being broken down in to positive and negative and what those are. When in reality it's way more complex You could easily apply it the other way around of most modern men living in cage of modern femnism of what we must not be in order to be loved.

They hate Peterson so much because he advocates for self-responsibility, and the belief that some, or most, of the problems in your life are your own fault, and only you have the power to fix them. Redditors hate that, and want to be coddled. They want other people to deal with their problems on their behalf. Sure, Peterson's not the super-genius some of his hardcore fans make him out to be, but a friend of mine lent me 12 Rules For Life, and I liked it. Nothing mind blowing or revolutionary, but generally good advice. Despite his decades of actual experience as a clinical psychologist and university lecturer, these terminally online dorks think they know more than him because Contrapoints, or some other YouTuber, "debunked" things he's said, or, they point to his prior drug addiction as some kind of "gotcha!" despite advocating for better treatment of addicts.
