It's threads like this that have me convinced reddit is mostly bots at this point, and not even advanced bots capable of understanding. It's like they're programed to see the word gun and immediately have to respond "Republican bad", "white people bad", "hurr durr constitution bad". Literal NPC's.

There are sites that will sell you a reddit account pre-loaded with huge amounts of karma. I idly considered buying some so I could shitpost freely on reddit without having to worry about paying tribute to the heckin' wholesome big chungus karma gods. What amazed me was the number of accounts they had, and the fact that they offered accounts north of 15K karma. And I can't find the source for this, but I believe it was revealed that a large portion of reddit users were posting from IPs that match up from a US Air Force base. Dead internet theory looks more and more plausible by the day.

15k karma is nothing nowadays, you can get that with two or three completely braindead, Current Thing posts. There's also a sub where you'll get upvotes for free, I forget its name though. (r/freekarma or something like that)
