I feel like the ZeroCovidCommunity is just cheating at this point, but they are such a trainwreck I can't look away. Some recent choice posts.

It's pretty much a no-fun-allowed cult, with no positive selling points. You too can sit at home alone feeling anxious and get nasty stares when going out.

There's no doubt in my mind that Hollywood is a cesspool of predators and that you'd be hard pressed to find a child star who hasn't been abused. However, this reddit post (assuming it's legit and not creative writing) probably wasn't Dewey. Here's why I think so.

The author of that post states that he had to pay for a sibling to go to rehab. However, all online sources indicate that Erik Per Sullivan is an only child. So right away, this doesn't seem to line up. Further, if you look at the author's post history, you'll see a number of claims that are incongruent with Erik being the OP. The author says that he makes no money from the show because it's not in reruns. Malcolm in the Middle has has been airing reruns consistently since it was first broadcast, so this doesn't check out either. The author also states that his "brothers" from the show no longer want anything to do with it and that resultingly, there will never be a reunion. On the contrary, there was some weird Zoom reunion a few years ago that included all the actors who played the brothers on the show. So there's no indication that any of them distanced themselves from Malcolm in the Middle, as OP suggested. It seems Erik was not present here, but he just seems to have wholly distanced himself from being a celebrity, rather than just from that show specifically. Frankie Muniz said in an interview a while back that he thinks Erik just wants to live a normal life, so hopefully that's all it is. Overall, there are a great deal of inconsistencies here, so it really doesn't seem like Erik wrote the post.

Sorry for the thread derail. I saw this post elsewhere the other day and it almost ruined my nostalgia for a wonderful TV series, so I ended up delving into it and wanted to share.

Thanks for the info. What show do you think he was on? Some posters here suggested 7th Heaven but the dad on that show was only into young girls which doesn't mean he didn't diddle a boy or two but it makes it less likely.

Unfortunately, I have no idea. 7th Heaven seems like a pretty good guess because they apparently had issues with reruns - didn't air for a long time, got pulled multiple times, etc. - so it'd be plausible that OP wouldn't have been making much in residuals. That's true about the dad, but the preddit post seems to imply that OP was molested by people other than whoever played the dad. Still though, sexual abuse allegations against the 7th Heaven dad were already public when the post was made, so it would be kinda weird to not mention that if that was the show. I also don't know anything about the child actors involved in 7th Heaven, so I can't say whether any particular person seems like a plausible candidate for OP.

It would probably be easy enough to narrow down what shows it could be based on the details OP provided. Most successful TV series aired reruns, so anything from that time period that didn't (or cases where the reruns flopped and didn't make much money) would be a decent guess. I don't know any off the top of my head, though.
 
Just to pivot the thread away from the depressing/disturbing "Zero Covid" loons, here's something a bit more lighthearted: I've been laughing my ass off at this AITA post for like an hour now. It's just so perfectly bizarre in the way that only stories on AITA can be.

I bet the retard sent CSAM via Gmail, i've read court papers of chomos who got done this way before, Google has a database of hashes (checksums? Sorry, i don't know what's it called correctly) of CSAM they check attachments against. It's like these retards that google "How long is cyanide detectable in the body", "life insurance payouts" and "cheap flights to Hawaii" minutes before they poison their spouse.
