idk probably obvious to everyone else but I have to remind myself when I look at reddit that a lot of what I'm reading is being written by literal children.

It's all theatre, like their insanely high conviction rate of 99.8% if a case goes to trial. They're not telling you how even serious crimes like sexual assault get worked out via monetary compensation and the like before it hits the trial stage (this has somewhat changed for the better in recent years) or how they can hold your ass for up to 28 days without guaranteeing you access to legal council and do their best, be it via physical abuse or other means, to wring a false confession out of you just so they can say they solved the case in the time they are holding you. "Inept" doesn't even come close to how to correctly describe the police, judicial system and the legal process over there, they act like they're still at the Daimyo's castle and the most important thing is to just not upset people and go on with things.

Pure madness, get your shit together, Japan. The article echoes my sentiment that police "work" over there is all just a big sham and they mostly just try to look good in front of superiors instead of solving actual crimes. Japan really loves to gloss over their societal problems.

To clarify what I meant: leftist agitation is designed to get you to react (when they do this in person, it's called "mid-level violence." Doing things that are just barely over the line to get you to do something that's unambiguously over the line. For instance, hold a highly sexualized drag performance for kids to get you to do violence they can point to as an example of YOUR extremism).

It's been aggressively established in leftist circles, even to lay dems, that you do not criticize anyone to your left (because the threat to the right has been characterized as apocalyptic, the worst excesses of the left are considered small potatoes). Characterizing Trump, Vance, et al as "weird" is a trap. Of course they're not "weird," especially in comparison to leftist weirdness. So rightoids counter with examples of trannies and autists on the left doing the genuinely bizarre, and the left points to this as the right attacking vulnerable, marginalized communities (that they've already established as above criticism), so the right's attempt at a "no u" gets turned into an attack against the right themselves.

Five years ago, the left's refrain was that "no one is transing kids." By 2023, it was "protect trans kids" (the "this never happens" pipeline. This never happens > It happens but it's rare > It happens but it's not that bad > It happens but it's a good thing actually > The real problem is you opposing it). "Trans kids" are a sacred cow to the left now, so they aggressively push the absurdity and extremity of childhood transition wherever they can specifically to get you to threaten and/or actually do violence so they can say "look, the right openly wants to HURT CHILDREN" and it doesn't matter that we're talking about preventing people from chemically and surgically mutilating those same children.

"Woke," "the left," whatever, are not stupid. They know exactly what they're doing. This is a project more than a century in the making. They've written about their tactics extensively. American conservatives are just literally retarded and keep falling for it.
