reddit General

Lots of backlash over that Ellen Pao moron. Also I heard that new posts on some subreddits were stuck at 1 upvote or some shit.

Make sure it becomes common knowledge that to advertise on this site is to get your name tainted in a newer ending series of memes and abuse.

Pretty sure that's common knowledge, buddy.

Ah yes, this is a huge fucking deal for Redditors, Admin also banned a lot of Hatespeech subreddits too.
I think it's kind of stupid that redditors still think that Free Speech = A media company can't delete their posts.
It is pretty ridiculous. The First Amendment only bars the government from curtailing opinions, it doesn't apply to private entities. If someone wants to spew hate they can go to Stormfront.

Please get your popcorn out.
This is going to be a bumpy ride.
A similar response was given to someone asking why /r/CoonTown wasn't removed.

CoonTown changed their sidebar accordingly.

Reddit's really losing here. People are either jumping on them for "censoring" subreddits, or jumping on them for practically "endorsing" others.

The Woody Harelson's AMA reminds me of another celebrity IMA that ended in disaster. It's way more lighthearted but it's still pretty amusing. In April 2014, Tom Hardy had his own AMA to promote his own movie. Baneposters from 4Chan got wind of it and started shitposting it the AMA.

what does Null have to do with this though?

/r/picsofdeadkids is still alive and well in all of this.

I think redditors are seriously misunderstanding the position they're in. If reddit's sponsors don't mind supporting a site that hosts this type of stuff, making shitty memes out of them isn't going to rustle their jimmies.

As many a MRA redditors have been exiled into the dark, nasty internet, they have found an oasis in the scary internet lands, away from their oppressive admins.
Enter voat.co, once a timid website which mimicked the Reddit layout which has now become a sanctuary for neckbeards.

Update on Voat.co, more than Reddit.

Voat.co has been overwhelmed by Redditfugees of a certain breed, and their hosting site is shutting them down due to all the 'intelligent' content.

Apparently the website might be used to host child pornography, are still convinced that it's better than the "SJW run reddit." Also they tried to make the admin of step down because he banned a few people... and who will run this site?

This is what voat-people had to say about it on reddit:
