The "John Wayne chickened out of WW2" comment is a lie that took a 30 second google search to disprove. He DID want to serve but had an ongoing contract with a movie studio company that would sue the shit out of him if he broke it to go serve. He was one of their top stars and losing him would cost the studio serious money.

He was also 34 with a family at the time which is not at all optimal for going into the military. And honestly, if a middle aged man with a family didn't want to go risk his life in a war who the fuck cares? You can be patriotic and not go fight.

This is the thing that fascinates me most about Reddit. The sheer amount of questions that get asked that could be eliminated by a 1 minute google search, or, even easier, just by using a bit of reason.

"Oh, my young cat is being hyper! What should I do?"

A: logically deduce that the cat needs more stimulation/attention

B: quickly search Google to find the above

C: ask reddit

Christofascist has made a comeback since Roe got overturned. Most of them don't understand what it means. They just shriek it because they are pissed that they might not be able to do whatever they want with no societal repercussions.

I think that embalmed burial in a durable casket is a massive waste, and that gravesites do take up too much space, but for the existing ones there is little reason to decimate them. Families spent so much money just to remember their dead. It's respectable. Also there are so many now abandoned burial sites that there would be no point in converting anyway as they aren't useful land. Graves wouldn't necessarily be nutrient rich anyway because the bodies are essentially filled with poison to keep them from rotting and the caskets are mostly going to be treated wood. Quite a lot of shit that isn't really ecologically viable.

Anything that remotely chastises them for hedonism is "Fascism". I doubt they even know what "Fascism" means by dictionary definition or have read any primary sources by actual Fascists or those inspired by Fascism such as Mein Kampf, Doctrine of Fascism, For My Legionaries, or any of Stanley Payne's history books about Fascism in Europe.

Hell, they could even read a VERY NORMIE fascist book like 100 Questions About Fascism. They would be shocked to learn that fascism is not about genocide and what it says about the Jews is pretty textbook for the time it was written. That is that if Jews wanted to obey the law, they were free to stay. If they didn't, free to leave. But it never suggested GAS KIKEZ NOWWZ or any other race, quite frankly. It was socialist, but not communist. National interests first. It was actually fairly reasonable to read when you consider how many people would hate you for even just reading it. You just walk away thinking...that's forbidden knowledge? OK...

I jokingly asked someone who was sperging about fascism what kind they liked. I believe it went like this. "What's your favorite kind? Japanese, Spanish, or Italian?" Someone nearby acted like knowing there were varieties other than National Socialism was a sign that I support it. Knowledge seems to be a weapon of mass destruction to some people.
