So I'm a girl that doesn't really do the whole "face full of makeup" thing, but this woman definitely looks way worse to me on the right, her face is highlighted exactly where she's aging and it looks completely artificial and unflattering. I thought it was one of the makeup circlejerk joke subreddits when it popped up on my feed.

i initially thought it was a "me before/after applying makeup" thing, that got me confused

her eyes look weirdly artificial in the right pic and somehow her chin looks pointier? but that might just be because the lighting is a bit different. also her skin is more shiny, as if she's sweating, but again might be the lighting.

I don’t think the differences have anything to do with makeup. On the left, her hair is collapsed down on her head, she’s making a bitchy face, and the lighting is shadowy and offensive to the eyes.

On the right, the lighting is super highlighting the fact that her Scandinavian genes were unfortunately dysgenic. She’s an Innsmouthian fish-lady.

I think they're aware of this because they seem to all think an N95 is like, the bare minimum and you really actually need like a N420-JOI ULTRA MEGA edition. It comes off as like, iPhone fans who think upgrading to a standard iPhone 12 or whatever from your old 8 means you're probably living in O block and on food stamps because you don't have the iPhone 15XS Deluxe Pro.

It's like they took a good point and instead of listening, doubled down on their bullshit and declared that actually it makes them even more right.
