While funny, that didn't happen. That so didn't happen that it might have happened, just certainly not to this guy. I mean, first red flag is a Redditor getting a date. The second red flag is that she would ever admit that shit on a first date; women are far more subtle when they're trying to be a gold-digger. Third red flag is a Redditor getting a date, again. That's just far too unbelievable for me. Fourth and final flag is that it's r/AITAH, which literally never reads as anything but fanfiction.

Fourth is a guy with seemingly strong personal conviction and resolve going to plebbit of all places for validation from people he must know would not approve. If this were actually true he would have just gone home and had a beer or whiskey and hit up the next chick.
 
Couldn't the 3rd party apps just ask users to fill in an API key? Either their own, or more likely one ripped from one of the accessibility / official apps?

The slow burn of the failed protest continues. There's a bot opening up some subs and asking for mods, it happened on r/torrents and someone immediately requested it. I checked r/redditrequest and someone was trying to do epic Reddit comedy:
