Drama from a minor subreddit called r/thecampaigntrail a subreddit for a browser based election game. One of the top modders was permanently banned for saying bad things about troons and being staff member of the daily wire.

Yesterday, the mod team was approached by several members of our community to express concerns about a player and mod creator. After a comprehensive investigation, /u/Tom_1923 has been permanently banned from r/thecampaigntrail by the unanimous decision of the subreddit's moderation team.

It is no secret that he is a high-profile creator, which is why we have deemed it necessary to make this announcement and be transparent as to the reasons why we have made this decision. Over the course of our investigation, we learned that he is a staff member for the Discord server of the Daily Wire: a far-right hate publication, which serves as the number one platform for transphobia, homophobia, and other kinds of queer hate in online journalism.

While everyone is entitled to their political views, some of the ideas expressed by Tom in this server and elsewhere have crossed the line as to make our many LGBT players and creators feel uncomfortable with his presence in our community. We did not make this decision lightly, and we know it will be controversial -- the volume of the complaints, paired with the gravity of his leadership role in a group affiliated with the foremost advocates of trans genocide in America, have convinced us that this was the right decision to make in order to protect this community.

In the interest of transparency, we have made some (but not all) of the results of our investigation publicly available here (TW); furthermore, we'll be allowing discussion of the matter in this thread, but please keep your comments mature and civil. This isn't pleasant for anyone, and we will lock the thread if we have to. No memes, no celebrations, no vitriol - let's do this like adults.

Perfect encapsulation of the average redditor understanding of politics. Gay people and LGBT ideology are literally the same thing, if you don't support chopping off the dicks of toddlers and drag queen story hour for pre schoolers you are literally just sending gays to be castrated by the state! Great self own of the grooming nature of the movement there fuckers.

Worst thing i read in quite a long time. Doesn't seem like a leddit LARP, i feel the "I am realistic. I know we're not getting justice" is way to uncharacteristic for the platform's creative writing exercises. I hope this shit gains media traction, the conduct, not to mention the sexual assault itself, is horrifying and stinks of something much more sinister than "just" one child anally penetrating others.

Reminder that modern leftism has nothing to do with being anti-“Capitalist” or class struggle but instead has solely to do with anal sex and cutting off your penis. This is because you can disagree with the economics (and own $10MM+ mansions) and won’t be kicked out of the group but the second that you say that anal sex is gross and that you shouldn’t cut off your penis you are kicked out and made a pariah. To add to my other comment, the reason these young women seem to float towards diagnoses like ADHD, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Long Covid and the like is because they probably have an undiagnosed, serious condition and are flitting between open-ended, vague diagnoses which can get them some kind of treatment.

Once a shitty doctor hits you with an anxiety/depression diagnosis, that can make it almost impossible to get treated for real, dangerous disorders so they go for what's available, trying to treat it themselves.

More like because they have no real disease except being lazy, and these diagnoses have vague, nebulous symptoms largely based on self-reporting.

Sucks for anyone who really does have a condition that doesn't meet any obvious diagnosis.
