The nicest, whitest and wealthiest areas in the US vote blue every single election. I would like to be proven wrong.
There are two types of super white super wealthy that vote blue. You have the artsy type and the money type. The artsy type (think actors, artists, muscians, people in Broadway and fashion design) tend to be your super liberal. Everything from these "creatives" is looked through your lens of drama. They also tend to be your women's study's professors and hyper liberal stupid professors. They exists in their own bubble. Artsy people tend not to interact with other non artsy people and so get swept up in group and nonsense extremist stuff (this is where troons come from). What they know of the world is at most superficial or looked at through the lens of drama. They vote dem because they believe everyone should "do what they want" because in their world you can. All they have to do is go on stage, pretend to be someone and get a paycheck.
The second type of dem I will call "the money type" these are your scientists, doctors, lawyers, professors (depends on what college and what they teach), business owners etc. These people due to their professions must interact with various members of society regularly. They know that the real world is full of different types of people but to them the only thing that matters is that people leave them alone and let them make money. This is why immigrants and Jews traditionally vote dem. They want to be able to participate in society and run away from the persecution which exists from the old world. They don't like Republicans because either they view them as too religious (the abortion bans and cozy with the evangelicals are some examples)- and either reminds them of the land they left behind (ie: state religions or laws which promote one religion over another) or threats to their faith. For the more educated ones, people would vote dem because they saw the Republicans as rejecting scientific fact. Scientists would say "hey so this chemical kills birds we shouldn't use it anymore" and big business (which the Republicans support) would not care because that chemical not only kills bugs but is cheaper than making a chemical that doesn't kill birds. people also tend to vote Democrat because Democrat was pro-union. it doesn't particularly matter so much now because America is industrial based doesn't really exist, but for many immigrants, unions were a way to establish yourself in a country. unions provided the social Security net that was necessary in order to save up money. sure. unions were corrupt and have their fair share of problems but in general they make sense. unions paid for life insurance, death insurance and health Care and insured. you had a job which meant that your children could get a better job and achieve the American dream. because unions tended to be Democrat, the children picked up from their parents and also voted Democrat. it's not unfair to think that since the unions don't exist, the government should take place of the unions. this business type I was talking about believes that this is okay to an extent, they don't believe in the social nonsense, but they believe that things like Medicare, Medicaid, social Security, and universal health Care are fine. another reason why is that Democrats tend to be anti-war generally and this take comes from different areas either. they are refugees or artsy types or whatever.
in short, the more artsy Democrats who are insulated from the larger world tend to vote Democrat because the Democrats align with their worldview. these are people who don't really work for their living and these tend to be your Communists and marxists, they exist by handout and thus assume everyone else should. the more business type believes it being a Democrat is good for society and good for business. they believe that the Republicans being the party of Business prevents growth, by not destroying monopolies and going after things such as Unions and regulation. these groups of people believe that the government should get involved in order to stop corporations and people from taking advantage and killing each other. they also tend to be pro-union and do not support the religious bias which exists within the Republican party. they think that relationships completely and that the government should not pass a law that even mentions religion.
