Once the whole hysteria dies down I hope people try and see how many updoots they can get/ how long they can not get banned for posting screenshots of doctored tweets. If enough people shit up the subreddits maybe the Mods will have to walk back the rules in shame, which would be funny.

AITA can be fun to browse until you realize that everything is grounds for cutting someone off. I'm shocked that more Redditors aren't homeless after cutting ties with everyone around them. Some things you should be mad about (although they likely don't warrant the cutting of ties), but these idiots act like anyone who makes you uncomfortable needs banished so you can retreat to your pillow fort.

I saw one a few months ago of a teen girl complaining that her parents used the money she was going to use to go on a trip with friends to buy something for her severely handicapped sibling. Granted, this was supposed to be her first weekend getaway in a good number of years, so I'll give her that. However, her parents wanted her to babysit her handicapped sibling for a couple hours so they could have some time to themselves. She let everyone know that they usually just drove around for a few hours and didn't do anyting that would cost money, so it's not like they were taking the vacation she wanted for herself.

I bet you can guess the Reddit response. Once you graduate, cut them off and let them know that you're throwing them in the crappiest nursing home you can find as soon as they show signs of slowing down! Because that's a normal response to a disagreement you have as a teen.

Now I always consider, when reading those posts: we're only hearing one side. What would the people being complained about have to say? I bet most of those stories, assuming they're true at all and not just invented for Internet points, have two sides to them and the OP is naturally describing themselves as a saint and omitting a lot of what they did to prompt those kinds of reactions and behaviors.

Tipping points for the hive mind are unpredictable sometimes. Who would have thought *this* is what sent them into such a rage. It's not exactly like Musk's viewpoints were hidden prior, regardless of what you think of the actual "salute".

Update on the faggots over at f1 reddit(god why must these trannies ruin my sport) they are now posting screenshots of twitter responses to their Twitter announcement about banning twitter links. So these fags are still looking at twitter.

What’s the most hilarious is that 90% of them are going to buy cadalliac f1 gear in 2026 or mclaren gear(ceo is maga) .Want to know why cadi is on the grid? Because Trump literally called f1 and threatened a investigation into their stakeholders Liberty media
 
I fully and wholeheartedly support Reddit banning links to Twitter. 90% of the content on the website for the past 5+ years has been twitter reposts and banning them means 90% of their content is gone. This means it hastens the death of the worst website on the internet.

It was the bird flu last week I like helping people out with their farm birds but everyone wanted to tell me stuff I learned when I was a child not to do or their talking points are just old wives tales. I’m glad something else is taking the limelight for now. I just hate seeing the same image or rhetoric over and over again. It gives me a headache.

Unfortunatly it will just be reinterpreted like they always do.
"links" are banned. Screenshots are not.
Look at blue sky. Half the things they talk about is screenshots of X posts.

This is not true in every sub. Some subs have chosen to allow screenshots of X. Some have chosen to ban X entirely.

I have noticed that in many of these threads that some of the users are very aware that this is a powermod situation where the few powermods on the site are dictating what every sub must do. It's obvious that this is very disingenuous. Banning access or the ability to cover news from one of the other biggest website in the world becaus "elon bad" is fucking retarded.

Reddit also stated they wouldn't interfere with the mod's pushing the ban in any of the subs, which I think is retarded because mods are just making the site unusable for a couple of days when they actually don't give a shit. its free karma, free ticket to the front page.
 
If someone wanted to be subversive, I bet you could make a follow up campaign to this that claims even posting Twitter screenshots is tantamount to supporting Nazis. Like, if Elon really is Mega Hitler, isn't platforming his website at all a tacit endorsement through their logic? Would you sit at a table with someone who opens up a flip book of Nazi images? If you say 'yes', you might be a Nazi yourself!
 
Redditors are also convinced that Twitter is dying and Bluesky will replace it. Which is completely delusional since Bluesky is mostly a reactionary website created in protest of Trump. Nobody outside of America uses it. If you're an artist, you'll probably realize you're shooting yourself in the foot too by limiting your reach soon enough as well.
