Without fail, everyone who complains about a "alt-right pipeline" is some flavor of leftist extremist mad people are not falling for their bullshit. If you strip the political terms back and focus on the language and tone you will notice it is worded less like a political extremism rabbithole and more like some sort of cult behaviour. Every time some faggot talks about "escaping the alt-right" without fail it is worded exactly like how a more extreme evangelical would describe falling for temptation / being led astray by Satan in their youth with drugs and rock n' roll before finding Jesus and being born again.

Cue the expected snark towards Trump, SCOTUS, rural white people, etc.

Slight power level: I am familiar with this area, making the pure ignorance even more disgusting. Dumb bitch number one doesn't comprehend that a "strong EPA" and environmental regulations are why this area of WV ended up so impoverished once the powers that be decided coal was lidderally racist, misogynist, and worse than Hitler. The city of Welch in neighboring McDowell county used to have a population of nearly 100k, but after the coal bust and the plants/jobs disappearing, thousands were thrust into poverty, which allowed drugs and decay to arrive in the area. These "dirty fuels" were a lifeline for the people in West Virginia and Kentucky.

Dumb bitch number two tells people to "vote for Democrats." Doesn't realize that this is what fucked the area in the first place. Once Democrats bowed to DC and abandoned rural, working class people -- not just white people, there's a sizable black population still there too -- West Virginians were smart enough to vote them out. Don't get me wrong, there's plenty of ruby red corruption, but there's a damn good reason a Democrat will never win WV again.

The Democrats lost the campaign the instant they tried to put an even worse Hillary Clinton up against Trump and expected a different result, and unlike in 2016, they can't even pretend they gave their core voter base a choice of who their candidate was. Anything Harris or Walz did afterwards was just the diarrhea icing on a turd cake.
 
The reason why Tim Waltz calling people "weird" pissed off so many right-wing people was because of how obviously hypocritical it was. The man's a fucking freak and was running for office in a party that openly champions genital mutilation and faggotry and you're calling other people weird? Shut the fuck up. Reddit is absolutely obsessed with consent when it comes to male/female interactions. I've probably seen a dozen posts saying that talking to a women without permission is the equivalent of sexual harassment or even rape.

It's completely psychotic.

Calling it now: within the next four years or during a Vance administration there will be a widely publicized shooting/terror attack/assassination attempt committed by a Redditor who openly discussed their motives and plans on the site.

It won't cause an 8chan-tier culling (Reddit is too useful for propaganda purposes for that to happen), but a lot of what plays out on r/politics and the like will be upended. The culture of the site won't transform as dramatically as Xitter did, but a new lineup of powermods and admins aren't gonna be nearly as tolerant of the veiled threats of violence that have gone into overdrive since the election or left wing extremism in general. Not because the new bosses are suddenly /ourguys/ or anything, but the tech lords understand that a distinct realignment is occurring, and a lot of the deranged losers we've been mocking for nearly 2k pages are suddenly gonna be without a home.

(They'll still swear that it's all the fault of Kiwis somehow.)
