The widespread use of large karma and age requirements on most subreddits, most of which are not disclosed, effectively shadowbans new users from huge swaths of reddit. Most of us seasoned ban evaders eventually learn which subs youcan use to karma farm but Reddit sure as hell won't tell you.
I eventually got sick of it and just quit using the hellhole.

Hate to say it, but there's nothing wrong in that redditor's actions. Videogames don't harm anyone, they aren't some addictive substance, in fact they're a popular family bonding activity. The girlfriend should have tried to understand his hobby instead of forbidding everything that he likes. Stuff like this reeks of control-freak "I can fix him" syndrome. Bitch should be grateful she got a harmless vidya-playing husbando instead of some abusive wifebeating nigger who shows his true colors after marrying and babytrapping the chick (then again she would probably enjoy that).

Eh, unless you got the kind of control freak you're describing, I always see relationships with truly compatible women as a positive, if only for a while. Most superficial/money-hungry whores are spottable from a mile away, unless you're a drooling autist who can't read between the lines. If you got a gf/wife who enjoys your hobbies, enjoys your company and doesn't make your life hell, it's a better life than utter loneliness.
