idk.. feels like most of the things it wrote were easier to tell to be AI. something about the phrasing. No human uses Em Dashes more than once a post, if at all.

This just proves what everyone already knew: reddit is very gullible and should never be taken seriously with anything. They are easily manipulated sheeple, barely human
You know what's funny, is that someone on the other end is a discord moderator and they think they are better than redditors like some kind of smug superiority. It's like a turd with sprinkles compared to a turd with corn in it.

Redditors, angry that their comments in circlejerk about the current thing subreddit #9845734 could easily be replaced by robots, suddenly become experts in AI and research ethics or something.
Using this logic placebo groups should be told they're being given the placebo in medical research because transparency 🧠

Not the heckin' publicorino! No, I'm not mad that reddit and other companies do this same sort of testing all the time without anyone's knowledge or consent. You can't use gmail... because you just can't!

The word "community" has become completely meaningless, example 105943022345

No bad actors have ever thought to bot reddit before!

WON'T SOMEONE THINK OF THE SUBREDDIT RULES + "I am not a lawyer" (trust me buddy, we all already knew)

A LLM pretending to be PART OF A MARGINALIZED COMMUNITY (read: 85% of humanity). That's too far!

Why do they treat talking to bots like a war crime?

look up cognitive infiltration.

The goal in “disrupting extremist communities” is not so much convincing them they are wrong-but causing them to doubt their own convictions.

An influence op on Kiwifarms for example might aim to make most Kiwis doubt that trannies actually are repulsive vermin, arguing that this belief is irrational, not backed by science or makes you stupid or a social outcast.

TLDR; The goal is more often to confuse, demoralize and disconcert.
Yeah but like that's my point. The bot cannot appeal "to the experts" or common consensus if its not on reddit. If you see its comments, its most popular tactic was to do the "As A X/Y/Z" which works on redditors but not anywhere else.

Take taste the rainbow as an example most people on kf will recognize, everyone knows he's jewish, do you think that has EVER helped him?

The bot was a clever manipulation of the reddit echosystem, but its not universally applicable.

they have an automoderator system built into reddit that allows you to automatically ban certain words and phrases with zero transparency
Fun fact, not only do they autoban certain words or phases, but by default, they don't actually tell you they've been banned. You could say something, it could get autobanned and removed, but still remain visible to you and NOBODY else and you would never find out unless you logged off or had an external plugin to check for you.

Unironically the most orwellian shit ever. Censoring people without said people ever even finding out and its literally the most common feature of the entire website.

You don't have to look very hard, there was one 4 pages ago. His entire account is just replies from ChatGPT
Found it

AI aside, I'm just surprised it was so easy to change opinions, I figured most people just dug their heels in,. especially Reddit retards.
Youre ignoring that the main purpose of that sub is posting the opposite of what OP actually agrees with so they can score brownie points. "Life long MAGA member here, but seeing illegals deported made me realize Drumpf is literally Hitler and we need drag queen story hour."

Is this just an assumption?
Yeah, quick guesstimate based on the load/consumption I see running games vs getting a response from a LLM locally.
Playing a game like Warzone I easily get a power draw of 400 watts and more while the game is running. Running LLama I'm drawing not even 200 Watts during inference ("generating answers"), which takes mere seconds.

I'm not sure how Zurich works but basically for all USA Universities if it's open to the public you do NOT need written consent. This is such an example
