Reddit is just the least interesting people alive (and the bots they're indistinguishable from) repeating each other to each other.
They use it 24/7 because someone else said it once and they genuinely lack original thoughts.
Edit: a better way to put it: the difference between a redditor and an LLM is the latter has use cases.
I'm fairly certain at this point that, on average, reddit is the lowest IQ place on the web. It's probably technically still Facebook, but no one cares about Facebook.
There is no point to making a reddit post that isn't either a simple picture with a caption or a technical question. If your post/comment attempts to articulate anything, I'm talking even widely held commonplace opinions, it will be so wildly misinterpreted that you'll be dumbstruck by the replies you receive.
At first you might assume that people replying to you are just flagrantly misinterpreting your posts on purpose in some sad attempt at getting an easy "gotcha"(nevermind that you weren't looking for an argument, everyone else on reddit is apparently). Eventually, after enough of this bizarre behaviour you come to realize that, while some people really are just misrepresenting what you said on purpose, most actually think they're making logical points.
So you're forced to conclude that either everyone on the website is mildly retarded, or that you're being gangstalked by a group intent on driving you nuts and wasting your time.
There's also the fact that, seemingly, half the userbase is ESL, and I'd say at least 70% of the ESL users are fucking indians. They're so easy to detect; it's not that they make grammatical errors, it's that they make grammatical errors that
no native English speaker would ever make. It never fails that when I spot one of these poorly written comments/posts if I click on the users profile one of their most recent comments will be in some sub like r/indiangamers.
I don't want to hear the opinions of british or french people on american social issues, why would I ever want to hear the poorly articulated opinions of someone who is utterly divorced from not only american life, but the western world in general. I don't care that you've adopted western liberal values, you don't even understand what you're advocating for. Your opinion will never be insightful, you're not providing a different perspective, all you can do is parrot the prevailing opinion of the sub you're on in a poorer fashion than even low IQ native English speakers.
