I'm intrigued by "social justice accessories"- what are those?🤔

I sell social justice and social justice accessories.

Reddit isn't an actual forum for discussion, it's a website composed of many singular echo chambers. The average redditor is incapable of accepting a differing point of view or having a discussion regarding differing opinions because of the inherent design of the website encouraging groupthink and adhering to the already established beliefs of a community, since that's what gets you sweet sweet karma. That's sort of an issue with any website that offers some sort of score system for posts (even Kiwifarms via stickers or 4chan through (You)s in a sense but Reddit is the most cancerous in this aspect).

4chan (you)s are a lot less so in that they just function as a way to see replies and other anons don't know if you got 1 or 15. Kiwifarms scores used to be basically edgy reddit karma but now it's just positive or negative. But the stickers are basically reddit awards and I'm surprised the forum doesn't hate them. Unless most people here are a lot more like redditors at heart than they want to admit.
This is a great topic to interrogate. I think at least for me, I do like reddit's ostensible format which is that users are supposed to upvote productive contributions in the conversation. The issue is that most people inclined to use reddit use votes as a like/dislike button. While it didn't start out this way, now it seems to exist primarily as a glowie social experiment in consensus-manufacturing. The farms seems to solve that problem neatly - there are different buttons for "constructive-but-disagree" and "not-constructive-and-you're'-a-retard". and by only caring if a user is positive or negative, and not the number itself, you avoid the worst dynamics of social credit systems while still having some loose norm enforcement. but again this only works because ppl here are relatively thoughtful, if you put this system on reddit these people would just be negrating everyone they disagreed with and user walls would look like beirut in the 80s

You forgot the moderators that will try to squash any growing movement that goes against the official narrative.

These types of people (at least around here) tend to wear a shitload of faggy pins and put social justice stickers on their stuff. I've also seen a lot of carabiners and canes. The latter is often for munchie reasons.
I'm a little afraid to ask what a munchie is. I kind of thought the cane stuff is because the lgtv+ crowd is hyperbolic about muh disability?

Don't forget the walking aids that a lot of them use, especially the pooners. There was an article about those a while ago, I wish I had saved it, which discussed the topic of queer spaces and the prevalence of masks and walking sticks. It's a combination of virtue signalling by making all their events require you to wear masks, for example, and them signalling being part of the "enlightened" in-group, as if their shitty hairstyles and septum piercings aren't big giveaways already.

Like, most posts either have extremely positive or extremely negative reactions to them.
This has been a known phenomenon for basically all of reddit's existence. People will be more likely to vote on a comment/post if it's already been voted up or down. Their vote will basically always be in the direction the post's karma was headed. It's very similar to why you add a bit of money to get the tip jar started, people who see it already has money will be more likely to throw a dollar in.

Unidan, the annoying crow guy who pretended to be an expert in everything biology-related, abused this for years by just always upvoting his comments on sock accounts (this was back before the sock detection was worth anything). His comment being upvoted compared to whoever he was arguing basically means that redditors would instinctively trust his more and then upvote it themselves.

The part of the reddit population that distributes votes are basically automata easily swayed by votes and other signals of authority (e.g. the long-running tendency of the worst posters to always claim to be experts in whatever field is being talked about).

The argument is stupid, especially because the men who take issue with it are always those "where's my hug" types who can't stand the fact people don't want to be around their spergy asses.
They had to make it specifically a grizzly bear, and even grizzly bears and polars, the most aggressive bears, usually don't attack humans (a hungry polar is most likely).

Seriously, if it's a brown bear, they're almost completely harmless unless you seriously fuck around. They're entirely physically capable of fucking your shit up, they just won't.

Also there are other factors to consider. If you encounter a brown bear, it's likely to be a cool "neat look it's a cool bear" experience, but if you encounter a human of any sort, odds are they're a fucking asshole.

I like that they advertise themselves so you know to avoid them and disregard anything they say.

Time for a Redditors Don't Act Like Humans quickie!

A man decided to show off his marital bliss and also a cat.

Because this is Reddit, the vast majority instantly assumed OP was a tranny.

It's understandable. Reddit is their nest and breeding ground. It's hard to find someone who isn't trans on most big subs.

What's less understandable is being upset that someone is normal.

Note the trans flag avatar and the 2500 updoots. But they're just normal people who want to be left alone!

A few non mentally ill people chimed in.

The heretics were, of course, castigated and shunned. As is tradition within cults.

Water is wet and trannies just have to make everything about themselves.

I assumed it was a pooner and was impressed they had a decent beard and then I saw the male-pattern baldness and realized it was a dude and his wife.

Here's something new: r/darksoulsmemes is currently under siege by TRAs.

First the mods changed it's sub icon to this because of a dumb joke poll that was pretty clearly not a joke in hindsight

Now the sub is filled with posts like these
1755652874161.webp
1755653198326.webp

A lot of people aren't happy about it, but they're walking on eggshells because it's pretty obvious that any dissenters will be banned.
