Before 2015 Reddit was obnoxious and insufferable, but at least it was genuine. These were socially retarded nerds that we all hated and learned to endure. It was leftist, but it was populated by actual leftists.

Then, overnight, the SuperPACs descended on Reddit and turned the entire thing into an eternal DNC rally, originally for Hilary's benefit. They bought the site, installed power jannies everywhere, and purged any non-believer who dared question whether or not orange man was bad. The jannies never went away and have simply mentally declined every year since then. It is now arguably the most mentally ill place on the internet, almost entirely for this reason.

It took almost no time for us to realize how good we had it back when our main problems were cringing at Faces of Atheism and being brigaded by Shit Reddit Says. What I wouldn't give to have those days back.

It was like someone flipped a switch after Bernie lost the primary in 2016. r/politics suddenly became viciously pro Hillary and Bernie supporters were purged. At least r/SRS was just a minor nuisance to 4chan back then and the most intense culture war battles were between r/KiA and gamerghazi/gamingcirclejerk before that fateful election.

Posters were a lot less melodramatic too. Back then, a republican winning did not, in fact, mean that a second holocaust was imminent.

I think my final actually positive memory of Reddit was a sub called the_meltdown, made in 2016 by liberals in anticipation of Trump losing so they could epically pwn the rethuglicans by posting them being mad there.

Then Trump won. The sub instantly became a gloat fest. Nonstop posts about Trump winning and liberal seethe. And how did the creators respond? They were like "well, you got us there". They admitted defeat and allowed the Trump supporters to do their thing. That would never, ever happen on Reddit today. It'd be shut down for hate speech by some tranny who ActBlue chained to a computer somewhere nine years ago and promised to come back to free him later.

I remember that! Sometime after Trump won I got curious and went to see what became of that sub and it was exactly as you described it. These days redditors can't take an L like that. They'll either SHUT IT DOWN or come up with Blueanon tier conspiracies to cope.

From /r/tiktokcringe on a thread where some guy at an MLB game scampers across his section of the bleachers to fetch a home run ball for his son. Some aging dyke who was near the landing spot runs over to him in a fury afterward demanding the ball back, and he capitulates, actually taking it out of his son's glove and giving it to her. I think this is cuck behavior, this commenter here agrees, but I wonder what the hivemind thinks?

I don't engage with American politics much since I'm not American but I watched the European censorship debate and I was shocked. Reddit is not an exception, Reddit is exactly like the actual democrat politicians are. They do not stop attacking Trump even when it's completely off topic and a waste of time. Every time one speaks it's like reading a reddit comment out loud and they all read the same comment. They're like spoiled children who can't stop shouting over everyone.

They live in a bubble and statistics actually show that many American liberals have never even heard an actual conservative argument that wasn’t a strawman.

Reddit is nothing but a DNC propaganda farm. There are numerous reports of old accounts that haven’t posted in 3+ years suddenly posting clickbait propaganda articles and nothing else, among other suspicious activities.

It's probably Expedition 33 (it came out in April and had a live music performance at Gamescon a month ago), which I also love but seriously she needs lay off on him. Giving him an ultimatum over a game is a guaranteed way to get him to never play it. If she has all these friends who also love the game, then why can't she be satisfied with that? Instead of appreciating those friends she takes his disinterest as a personal attack and that doesn't bode well for this relationship.

Rape does involve overpowering the individual the rapist wants to violate, with the intention to unlawfully please himself. The "control" applies as a way to achieve the result - usually said control is physical. It's not prolongued or long-term, repeated instead, if it's commited multiple times.

Rape can be used as a way to instill fear, though, so in a sense you can control a person's actions by threatening them with rape, and enacting it repeatedly (Provided this person is not strong enough to stop you).

So in the end, if we remove the theatrics of your description, we can see that rape does involve using power to gain control of someone for a period of time, and then using them for sexual gratification.

I don't know how does women's perception of sex play into this, it's not a wrong observation. They way feminists use it to guilt-trip men who are not rapists, and create new "Definitions" for rape is wrong, though.
