Conveniently they ignore that the entente's belligerents were primarily the British, French, and Russian empires which two of which were ruled by a monarchy. That's not even getting into the fact that the monarchs were related to each other by blood.
russian empire at the time was by far the most repressive and autocratic of all the european states
german empire was relatively liberal for its time (for example they had universal male suffrage like 50 years before the british did)
if you were to rank the big ww1 powers on an authoritarian/liberal scale it would probably look something like this
[most authoritarian]
russian empire
austria-hungary
british empire
german empire
french republic
united states
[most liberal]

Item 1 of 5

I am a renter and we had no hood fan in our kitchen, I suggested to our landlord that we install one because we were having mold issues and my wife is sensitive to mold

I could have gone through the roof but I wasn't confident in installing a roof Jack / roof vent and didn't want to create any potential leaks as that would be bad

I had to angle it down on the right side because the soffit is lower than I originally anticipated

Part of me thinks I should just take it all out and rebuild the cabinets, I'm a carpenter and could probably do it if I borrow somebody's shop it would just take me a million hours and this is already taking me a million hours. I'm in the process of building a shell for the duct that I will paint match to the inside of the cabinets ( which for some reason are painted white)

What I should have done is just gone a 3x10 ducting instead of 7-in round which is what it called for

What do you think? How can I make this better or is it as bad as I think? I hate that I have taken up so much cabinet space.

In the end the cabinet doors will go back on and I'll paint the MDF White and essentially we're losing one and a half shelves

Does this look like s*** would you be pissed if you were my landlord?
Redditors largely are confused about how the plan got this far

GroverHaus 2 but a rental property? Needs more insulated stairs and load bearing drywall.

His core plan is nonsensical. As one of the commentors correctly pointed out (ugh): that’s an electric stovetop which explains why the landlord would find a hood vent unnecessary. Methinks our wannabe carpenter has watched a bit too much Technology Connections and has internalized TV’s anti-gas stove autism while lacking the understanding of the differences between an electric and gas range, with a burgeoning mold issue (if one actually exists) being an excuse. It would have been more time and cost effective to just buy a dehumidifier.

It is nice to have a proper vent when you're cooking stuff that smokes, but not required. Seems to me he should have gone up and over the cabinets, at least it looks like there was space there. Sure won't help the mold/humidity unless he's regularly boiling pots of water.

the uncomfortable white girl in uggs
is that not the wife he just divorced? i can't decide if it's more or less funny if that's just some girl walking across the parking lot
Do they really think Biden is going to make it to 2028? The man is getting radiation treatment for an aggressive form of prostate cancer. Its in his fucking bones already
And generally once it's inside your bones, you're boned.

Lots of modern range hoods don't need ducts, they can optionally run air through carbon filters back out the front. It sucks because it'll heat a room up like a motherfucker and they don't filter perfectly but at least this retarded gorilla nigger could still use his cabinets.

Man in a Nazi costume goes into a bar during a Halloween party. Patrons complain and the bar owner says while he doesn't like it its a costume. After a few minutes he thinks better of it and goes to ask the individual to leave, while the individual was already leaving.

Cue Redditors getting wind of this and throwing a shitfit because this apparently resolved manner is not resolved at all because the owner hasn't been punished enough to their satisfaction. He needs to be completely driven out of business for life and the edgelord troll who wanted attention deserves even more of it.

The overlap of veganism and mental illness continues to expand.

Found another post about an 18 year old girl who has recently turned vegan and is now mad at the world.

Also this comment is something else:
"Yes. It's so overwhelming to be aware about everything that is going on and your loved ones contributing to exactly that. I'm already a bit less enraged because it has been 10 months since I was fully aware and turned vegan.

I try to imagine that I also was once unaware, like they are, and trapped in my own excuses. I used to think it was impossible to let go of certain animal products because it would make my life less enjoyable. And now, I don't care about that at all, knowing the horrors behind it (by looking up slaughterhouse videos).

Also, my boyfriend was already vegan which helped enormously to warm up to the idea of veganism and I'm so grateful he was patient with me.

I don't know if it's a good thing, but with me the rage got less. Some people literally said they're not open to hearing about the horrors because they don't want to change their behavior, which made me so mad. I cut off some friends and went to look for vegan communities.

My parents and sister are not vegan and I definitely struggle with it. Still, I talk to them about it when I can (don't do it when they're actually eating animal products) and I make them nice vegan food. I read the book "how to argue with a meat eater and win everytime" from Ed Winters to gain more conversation techniques and arguments. I went to demonstrations and donated money.

I really think everyone has their own progress and you can't change anyone's choices directly. It's a process that you can be a part of, by showing by example, making them aware, being patient. As hard as that is, because your rage is 10000% valid and I would also like to live in a world like the one you describe.

I try to think that life has gotten a lot more meaning in this way, and you can be really proud of yourself for standing up when no one else is in your environment."

I know veganism is a weird inspiration of marxism which could explain the overlap between it, the lgbt community and narcissistic complex.

No, it just means you're now a pessimistic doomer who'll forever whine about the woes of humanity and people not being decent heckin human beings for skipping out on a quarter pounder after a long day.

God, are so many of them emotionally charged that they don't stop for a second on how they should campaign for better treatment of animals without sounding like a raging misanthropist or some morally superior know-it-all because they had a salad and some carrots for dinner and watched some vegan/environmentalist documentaries.

No wonder people barely take them seriously, even to this day.

What if I told you... I've seen plenty of slaughterhouse footage and literally don't care.

These are Vegans not vegans. That is, they've made their dietary choice into a component of their personality. I swear it's the same pattern with a lot of people. They're uncomfortable in being an individual, so they join a collective and adopt it's ideals. It's tribalism.

What's funny is when they alienate those who cared for them intentionally or without realising it. I know vegans and vegetarians, they don't preach at me to abandon my meat eating ways. As a result, I'm happy to try some of their non-meat stuff, and eat out with them (normally consuming the meat option). But crazy redditors love to instill purity tests into their lives.

Cooking hoods that extractor moisture from boiling food helps a lot in houses that have damp issues especially if you don't have a house that distributes heat around it using ducting (I think you call this HVAC). This is super common in the UK where you don't get HVAC systems installed by default in 90% of buildings.

Those types of hoods don't do as good a job of removing moisture from the air which is probably his main concern.

Get a pressure cooker. If you let it naturally decompress, the steam inside turns back into water before you open it. Problem solved for $200 rather than $5000.

Failing that, point a box fan at an open window.

He could've also gotten a dehumidifier for his home before ripping his cabinets apart. They're a lil pricey but they are a godsend, even with my square footage one unit works wonders. Not too uncommon in the stank humid parts of the US or in basements.

The duct-through-cabinets thing is funny enough on its own but dude only renting the place is what elevates it to high comedy. How did someone who is clearly functionally retarded make enough money to rent a house in the first place? His craftsmanship skills also don't look half bad. Just :story: through and through.
