ARFID is a real eating disorder, however, one actually being diagnosed by a competent medical authority with the disorder, and a person being a sped and just assigning another acronym to their collection of mental disorders is a completely different matter.

Unless a person has demonstrated all the characteristics for a diagnosis, and you can verify this yourself, or they provide proof of an independently assigned diagnosis, assume the person is lying (this method is at least 99.9% accurate when dealing with these types of weird assholes).
 
I would run actual experiments to see if they become narcissists thanks to Reddit or if they are attracted to spaces like Reddit because they already are narcissists.

I've met many but Reddit has like a specific brand of them, you can pinpoint them so easily when they show up in public.

That is a very good idea. I think the most concentrated of narcissists would be around the 'trans' subreddits. Not sure about the 'normal' people reddits.

Trust me I've earned my fair share of 'moderation'. One of them was actually in an art type subreddit.

But in no way did that work break the rules, it wasn't low quality, it wasn't a meme, the guy could prove he did it, and thus the quality is subjective. Otherwise what's the point of having art subreddits at all? Saying that you think AI could do better is not a valid evaluation, which is exactly why they have these paranoid rule about AI in the first place.

Very obvious ChatGPTisms like liberal use of em dashes, title font, etc. but I notice near the bottom of the posts his cadence suddenly turns unmistakably Indian;

There are only a couple of comments that actually call this out for being AI generated. I am cursed with the terrifying idea that this Indian poster knows he is ESL so instead of writing out the post he literally fed what he wanted into an AI and none of the redditors except for two people noticed, and one of them is sitting at 0 downvotes.

a comparison i give to non-artists is. imagine if you had 100 hours in your favorite game.
someone who admitted he's only watched a let's play is trying to tell you, not only was it a waste of time to play your favorite game.

I could have sworn when that AI drama happened it turned out he was right and it was actually an AI or at least an AI assisted art piece, I didn't follow it for too long so maybe that changed. Either way the I love seeing Reddit tear apart their jannies.
