Some guy decided to make a challenge to Helldivers 2 devs to play at the highest difficulty hoping to get their attention to fix the game's balance. He also offered to give 1000$ to their charity of choice.

Helldivers subreddit was not happy. Calling this a "charity blackmail", the guy was harassed and eventually retracted his challenge.

To make things even more insane, they doxed him, harassed a horse charity sanctuary he worked in for 15 years and got him expelled and he also got fired from his job as an electrician.

In short, they literally ruined this guy's life because he dared to challenge the wholesome chungus devs to play at high difficulty.

Shit like this is why I deleted my Reddit account. You could have a non-political differing opinion and some nut jobs will still try to dox and harass you over it.
 
I remember a lot of people being critical of helldivers. With them suddenly requiring a playstation account to play on PC (or something like that), them nerfing everything viable, and then ignoring items nobody used. Only reddit would be able to create an echo chamber that would push away everyone critical and leave behind a rabid fanbase going after someone trying to address the pitiful balance.
 
I quit reddit a year ago not because of the shitty subs like r/196,gamingcirclejerk,chonkers,atheism,antiwork,childfree and anime but the politics. If you don't agree with their views you are seen as Adolf Hitler and they will label you as a fascist and encouraging violence against them. Some of these subreddits even stalk some people or celebrities checking their past of any different opinions such as r/enlightenedcentrist they label every single one of them as nazi's or make up shit to make them look bad and even stalk some of them it's fucking weird. Also promoting violence and dehumanizing them because their different is a bit insane.

You could say porn is the only good thing about reddit but it's filled with loli/shota/cub porn, feral smut, incest and necrophilia and lots of them make excuses to justify it.

This same shit happened to me in a different subreddit with different mods. All of them are like this. I asked why my post was deleted when it didn't break any of the rules, and he replied with "I'm going to give your message the same attention you gave to reading the rules" and then permanently banned and muted me.

When we finally get right wing death squads I want the Reddit jannies to be the first target. Nothing gets my bloodlust going quite like the undeserved smugness and self-importance of a powertripping Internet moderator.

Reddit really needs to 'fire' all the current mods if it wants to survive as a publicly traded company soon, and then change how they pick mods. But they won't because they are Reddit, and that's where good and sane ideas go to die.

I am a trans woman, and I am also an artist. These two things are part of my intrinsic identity, they are unchanging throughout the course of my life. The challenges AI artists and trans people face are on way different levels, but both challenges stem from other people invalidating our identities.

When antis try to make the case against me saying this, they'll say something like "you can't choose to be trans, you can choose to be an artist", and to that I'll say they are completely wrong. Being an artist IS who I am, to me, and to many of the pro-AI people I know who are also trans.

Being an artist can be much more than a job, it's an identity, and antis invalidating/dehumanizing AI artists for how they identify has eerily similar rhetoric to transphobia (again, different levels). I am proud to be trans AND an AI artist, and nobody should have to justify their identities to people that would walk all over them. This is why the trans community should stand by other brothers, sisters, and enbies, and this is why the trans community should stand behind AI artists!

If antis want to make sweeping generalized statements that trans people don't support AI or that they shouldn't (like in the screenshots), let this post be a firm reminder that they don't speak for trans people who support AI!

It's been covered before but there is zero overlap between people willing to mop up internet forums all day and people that aren't annoying faggots. Reddit's business model relies on free labor, so they can't get around trannyjannies.

It's a classic reddit trolling tactic to use the identities they revere to browbeat them and lazily win arguments. Starting posts with "As a Black man" for example makes them have to do their preambles about how they're not racist and actually love black people before they disagree with you.
