It was announced months ago to kick in at the future date of today. This was done to much screeching and predictions of how reddit will fall without the powerjanny Watchmen which don't exist but we also need every single one of them. The day has finally come. Reddit has somehow not fallen

This will blow up in Reddit's face. The only reason why jannies do their job is that they get paid in the form of power over others. When you remove that from them, they'll have no incentive to actually work.

I almost wonder if the Reddit company is going to start making realistic AI bots specifically to violate rules or post wrongthink so that mods/jannies(same thing) will be able to hurt, what they actually think are real people, with bans. Imagine being some Reddit janny and one day finding out, via a leak or whistleblower, that 95% of the users you banned, censored, and chastized were just bots created to make you feel as though you have power over others.

There was recently an article in I believe the New York times which asked the question, "why is LGBTQ support going down?" Instead of admitting the obvious truth which is that disturbing creepy shit like this has been pushed way too hard on the general public the conclusion the author (gay of course) came to was that the public was looking for a "scapegoat". No it's not that fact that to any normal person takes on look at a drag story time hour and thinks "eww this is perverted and sick" it's that the American people need someone to blame! For what I don't know.
