Was any part of Reddit ever good?

Like I keep saying, in order to have a good subReddit, it needs to focus on a hobby that rewards skill, and even then it's just a matter of time before it's infested with over-sharing transexuals.
Half of reddit is fetish subreddits. Most of reddit is filled with China levels of censorship and continuously promote right think instead of wrong think. An example is how r/AHS (against hate subs) wants other aubreddits down because they meme too hardbass or aren't communists right think

My favorite thing about AHS is that, in order to get the subs they don't like shut down, they go into them under alt accounts and post racist stuff themselves.

Was r/MurderedByWords ever good?

I have to disagree on homeschooling. It’s not traditional at all. Do you think the Amish homeschool? No they do not. This is what I don’t get about converts to traditional Catholicism. They make fun of cultural Catholics, but don’t realize that cultural ties in a close knit community—the rural village in the old country, the crowded urban environment in the new—is what kept people together and kept them going to church. If you raise your kids in an environment where they’re homeschooled and you’re driving an hour to go to Latin mass once a week, how many other Catholics are they gonna know? Are they gonna stay as adults? Contrast with Hasidic Jews, who have to live within walking distance of the synagogue and don’t homeschool and have a very high retention rate.
Most rural and convert Christians who homeschool actually do a school coop, where they get young families in the area who are also Christian to all pitch in together. Everyone takes turns teaching their area of expertise as well as gen-ed stuff. It's a way of sidestepping the integrated and pozed public school system and fostering connections with other Christian families.

isn’t that just a weird private school? I’ve seen homeschool people say they don’t like coöps for that reason—because someone else is still teaching your kids.

to get back on topic, there’s a lot of horrifying posts on r/teachers about how they can’t discipline violent kids at all anymore because those violent kids have an ‘emotional behavioral disability’ so it would be ableist (and illegal, because federal law says you gotta educate disabled students) to kick them out.

Yeah I guess some ultra-libertarians don't like anyone else teaching their kids. The homeschool crowd has a lot of them.

On the other point, that's often because schools are banned from kicking out or suspending black students because they get monetarily penalized if not enough blacks graduate. The districts will often declare them emotionally disabled or some other nonsense word to stop teachers from doing anything about bad behavior. A friend of mine was actually fired from his job as a teacher because two blacks fought each other bloody in his class- and the school said he was forbidden from stopping them. He was fired for not stopping them.

It’s happening in white schools too, now, the ones in parts of the country with lots of unemployed and addicted parents.

Or there’s the ‘my little sperg can do no wrong and if you stop him from sperging out I will sue you’ parents, who are mostly white cause they can afford the lawyers.

This is your brain on reddit. Guess I should've put /sneed at the end of my comments

Powermods get a taste of their own medicine and can't handle it so they disable a tool they use to stalk/harass/report other users with:

Searching by author has been disabled until further notice

Unfortunately, I've gotten feedback that the Pushshift API is being used to target moderators and past posts are being sent to Reddit admins and causing suspensions (apparently due to a new Reddit suspension policy).

Until I can get more information on this, the author parameter will default to [deleted] and the author parameter has been removed from Redditsearch.io.

I need to get more information on what's going on but this is affecting a lot of people and apparently a group of users are specifically targeting other users for harassment purposes.

I apologize for the inconvenience and hope to have more information soon.

(SubredditDrama post discussing this):

People got buttmad by this post on r/gaming:

This one takes the case for one of the most downvoted posts I've ever seen. It got deleted but Removeddit archived it:

As the reply suggests, people went through rigsandworks's post history and it turns out he's an unemployed drug addict. But he somehow feels like he has the moral right to shit on a guy who's being a loving parent to a child.

There are other incels and assholes in this thread who think that single mothers deserve to be shunned and isolated:

"Some children don't deserve love and their parents divorcing is their fault" is a bold stance to take.

He's basically admitting that he sees his child as his property. And newsflash, kids don't give a shit about DNA and blood ties, they attach to the people who love them and treat them kindly.

View attachment 1073717

I'm glad this got downvoted so heavily because this is some infuriating bullshit. Imagine thinking that children don't deserve to have another father figure in life because their biological dad is dead or a deadbeat. And human beings are not "damaged goods." A person is not a defective item that should be thrown away.

I think we've progressed enough as a species to point out that if the only reason you want to have a child is to pass your DNA on, you shouldn't have a kid. I mean, when people decide to have children, they're not thinking "I must pass on my genes," they think "I want to create a new life that I will nurture into adulthood. I want to have a family." And newsflash, you can do the latter without being genetically related to the child.

They're acting like OP's girlfriend is constantly fucking another man in front of him. Literally all she did was have a previous relationship that resulted in a child. But then again /pol/tards and incels think that if a woman's not a virgin you're a cuck for dating her.

View attachment 1073732

Referring to a child as "another man's cum," super classy.

View attachment 1073734

Good Lord, the comments about this child are disgusting. I can't imagine being such a piece of shit that I would refer to a fucking child as a "mistake" or "another man's cum."

I understand not wanting to date someone with kids (especially if you don't have any yourself) because that can be really complicated, but you have to be a real cunt to shit on people who don't have that hangup. If someone is willing and able to be a parental substitute for a child who needs one, who are you to disparage them? These commenters are acting like OP's girlfriend fucks other men on the table in front of him when she's just had a previous relationship. Oh right, because to incels, if you don't snag a virgin who's never talked to men before you're a cuck.

Actually, alloparenting- parental care provided by an individual towards a non-descendant young- is far from rare in the animal kingdom and is present numerous human societies. "It takes a village" and all that. It's almost like altruism has a lot of benefits or something. Also, adoption is very much A Thing. Weirdly enough, human beings are capable of forming a parental bond with a child they're not biologically related to.
imagine writing a long soapbox about a single trollpost.

Imagine still using the imagine meme in 2020

But seriously reading this thread and how horrible Reddit had become currently makes me shocked to think that the 2011-2013 era of rage comics on the front page were the good days of Reddit.

The lace seems like it's full of radicalized people.
It will likely keep getting worse too imo. Encountering and dealing with dissenting, or just stupid opinions is vital for the development of maturity from what I've seen.

What is it with reddit and trying to compare current year events with pop culture? At least they didn’t go with a Harry Potter reference

Wtf is this analogy. These fuckers framed the bodies of the dead after operation eagle claw, planned bombings under Obamas administration (nuclear deal threw it out the window) and generally act like fuckwits to everyone else who also hates them. Bet my ass the comment or is a Iranian
