Seriously it's funny how naive they can be about this. Setting up a false dichotomy where one side is a group everyone already knows and hates and the other side is Hitler only makes people wonder about Hitler. They're not helping themselves.

EDIT: It appears that the exiled medical expert mods are planning on making an alternative sub...but Cedar is trying to request ownership of subreddits with variant names relating to abortion support, in order to prevent them from doing so or making it so that even if they do he's still top mod and can fill all the abortion support subs with terrible advice and shitty political articles. Terfs are out in full force in the redditrequest thread and give zero fucks about calling this dude a man and telling him to fuck off, while in r/prochoice they had to dance around the issue, talking about how the action itself was bad without calling the spade a spade.

r/abortion exists for the same reason that r/divorce or r/rape do. People go there to ask for advice and to discuss their feelings. I would rather they consulted a professional for the former and talked to their friends for the latter, but some are not in a position to do that. Thus, these kinds of subreddits.

Because he’s a narcissist and wanted to be the go-to guy for abortion advice. It doesn’t matter if the other more knowledgeable mods agreed with his opinions on abortion or not, the fact that they existed and gave more advice than him meant that they were stealing his thunder.
