Redesigning Floraverse - Because PK is a fucking idiot

Hence, the main characters all revolve around trying to subdue passerbys who have "exploded" and keep the city safe. Should I share that story with you guys? (also have not drawn anything because I suck at drawing. Sorry!)

I agree with Bernard. Maybe we can swap ideas and stuff since i myself have tried to figure out my version of the story.

Been working on this for a bit! I have more confidence editing PK's art rather than making character designs or rewriting things, so I think this is how I'll contribute to this thread instead.

I saw other people tinkering with this page, but I wanted to do my own spin on it.
For this, I edited expressions and shading. My biggest focus was on Neon's hair - I edited it to make it look more like how it used to when PK started doing the bowlcut look for her (you can see it in things like VR), and I made the color streaks more consistent between panels. I also gave Lily's fur poncho more tufts to possibly help it look less dumb as shit, since the shape of it before always bothered me. It looks like a mustache.

This is great! The additional shading and details give this a lot more personality. Well done!

It's really amazing how just a few simple touches of shading and highlights can really bring the piece out more...
I love that you made Lily's eyes so much brighter with just a few touches of shine to help hint at her tears... and also bring more life into Neon's originally rather dull hair.
Kudos, man! It's honestly much better than the original.

EDIT:
tried a naked cozmo to see how his pattern would be. definitely cosmic looking... the colors are a lot duller on my laptop compared to my cintiq's screen, so if it looks dull, sorry about that.

All of the ideas and art I'm seeing here also look fantastic! You're all so skilled, and coming here is honestly super inspirational.

I did another edit real quick of the page right before the one I edited earlier, so here it is:

I haaaaaate PK's weird borderline creepy expressions for Lily sometimes. You can see it in the second and third panels; it makes her characters look so unapproachable and uncomfortable.
PK's crying faces also could be better, imo. I tried to give Lily a bit more life by giving her more eye shines and making her eyes widen when she starts looking into the room.
Also, Lily and Neon's shadows would cast into the bedroom, but I don't have the energy to add it in. So just make believe it's there!
Neon's hair wasn't as horrifically ugly in this page so I didn't need to do much from scratch this time, too.

Finished my dark Beleth:

While PK's Beleth has a heart suit motif, I opted for a club on mine because it looked cooler to me. And some cherry blossoms. I just wanted to make Beleth a little more cool/dark rather than colorful like the original (to live up to the name), so while I thought of a saint I did cherry blossoms for that feminine touch and to make them look unique. The kiwi was added for fun.
And while PK's Beleth is genderless, I kinda thought of my drawing of them as being a bishounen.

Again, well done. Lily's emotion is far more realistic and sympathetic in your rendition. I always felt her face in the original just didn't really portray what was supposed to be emotional. But I appreciate you fixing it and actually making it have the feeling it was supposed to have.

I like it! (and will prolly draw fanart of it in the future) The chest fluff peeking out of the collar is a nice touch, and the eye color is lovely.
I also really love the watercolor look!
