Where will the kiwi refugees go if this happens?

Disable your adblock and kowtow to the fat, alcoholic faux-Jew/faux-Brit and obsess over Mormon mommy bloggers as Alice randomly deletes threads after she embarrasses herself and sobers up the next morning.

Fuck. I meant the to be funny. It sounds like one of Dante's circles of hell. :(

Move on to other prospects, I guess. I mean I'll miss this place if shit hits the fan as it's one of the last places where I can shittalk others, but I also wouldn't be losing too much sleep from it.

Either way, this is terrible news to hear. I mean I get that Trump wants to put the giants on the podium for responsibility of their actions. But by doing what he's doing, he's basically just fucking everyone over. Even those outside the US. This is probably the biggest reason why he should be thrown out of office, and I'm surprised this guy has unironic followers both over the internet and in real life because of fucktarded decisions like this. I don't think Biden should win, since he also wants to destroy Section 230, but when the alternative is a pissy 74-year old manbaby, I'd argue the US might be better off with either election tampering or just kicking both of them out and let the House run the US into the ground.

First post, probably my last. Been lurking since the streams started around 2017-2018. Only made an account recently never posting and just reading threads. So even though I'm not an active participant, I do wanna say that I love you guys, and it's gonna be sad to see the site go. This place gives me early 4chan, golden era internet feels, and it's such a unique thing that I thought was gone till I found this site. It's gonna be sad to say goodbye to it for good right after rediscovering it.

I hope it ends up just being a reform or change and doesn't nuke it entirely, but it's looking like this is it. Good luck with your life after this null. You did what you could with the resources you had, but I suppose everything's gotta die. Cheers all.

Serious question: how difficult would it be to just wipe the whole site off the clearnet and run it exclusively on Tor so that it's completely under the radar? No official owner, no legal entity that could be sued for it, just an onion site that's hosted god knows where.

There's shit that's patently illegal on Tor, right? All this site has to worry about is crazy litigious assholes armed with paper, which by comparison... well, they're not the feds.

The problem would be presenting it in such a manner that reminds people who are pissed at mainstream social media that "Yes repealing this does more than nuke the websites you hate off the face of the Earth." Youtube, Facebook, Twitter, etc. really have this coming. The problem is the scope of the change and the unintended effects.
Yeah, back during earlier internet activism the big boys (Reddit, Wikipedia, Youtube, etc.) were held in generally higher regard by most people. Now there's a sizable amount of people who think those places have a lot of bias (not saying it isn't true). Weird to think "a house divided cannot stand" would apply to the Internet.

The reapeal of section 230 isn't the threat of the feds coming down on the farms, its crazy litigious assholes armed with paper

Court is fucking EXPENSIVE.

Perhaps I've been reading the wrong websites but everything I've seen indicates that the NDAA will pass without any language regarding 230 in it at this time, there's some bills people are trying to float through Judiciary but none have even been voted on at this time. I think this is a little premature hoss
Good point. Either way, 230's repeal is inevitable.

Even if Trump can't manage in the month and a half he has left in office, Biden has specifically stated he wants 230 gone so the government can combat online hate speech. Trump started the conversation, Biden will likely go through with it.

I imagine a similar destruction of the internet as caused by the net neutrality law failing.

Prob not. If anything, this will just hurt conservatives more and its going to be funny when red gets double fucked by a repeal and all the pro-commie and critical race theory shit stays.

So, prob just the same except more gay.
