William Roper: “So, now you give the Devil the benefit of law!”

Sir Thomas More: “Yes! What would you do? Cut a great road through the law to get after the Devil?”

William Roper: “Yes, I'd cut down every law in England to do that!”

Sir Thomas More: “Oh? And when the last law was down, and the Devil turned 'round on you, where would you hide, Roper, the laws all being flat? This country is planted thick with laws, from coast to coast, Man's laws, not God's! And if you cut them down, and you're just the man to do it, do you really think you could stand upright in the winds that would blow then? Yes, I'd give the Devil benefit of law, for my own safety's sake!”

Threatening to eliminate 230 was stupid. I understand Trump's anger and frustration -- Fecesbook, Twatter, and the e-thugs at Google have been part of the Democrat media machine for a while. But this was the wrong way to go about things.

Then again, considering the federal government is littered with time-serving hacks uninterested in law (except what they can make up on the fly), maybe he just couldn't get any traction through more traditional measures. Personally I'd have given Twitter the Steve Jackson Games treatment, but then, that's why I'm not president.

SCOTUS rejecting the Texas lawsuit is unfortunate. It was a long shot anyways -- I'm a bit surprised they just rejected it out of hand without hearing it. Guess even SCOTUS wants to sweep this shitstorm of a year under the rug. Hope it was worth it for Kavanaugh, though, considering the thuggery thrown at him by the left.

Veto-proof majorities (more than 2/3rds) of both the House and Senate have passed the NDAA. If Trump chooses to veto anyways and is rebuked by these same numbers, it will be the first veto override of his presidency. Getting overriden by congress during the lame duck would be perhaps the most humiliating way possible to end his presidency.

There's a lot of "ifs".
He could try to introduce new legislation and have it forced through before the 20th, but that'd be unlikely.
He could also veto and then congressmen who voted to pass the bill could decide not to override. This would restart negotiations on defense spending.

i.e. not over yet, but if I gave this a 70% chance of working when I wrote OP, I'd give it a 30% chance now. The GOP is peeling away from him more strongly than I expected.
One of the few times I'm happy Trump doesn't get his way.

The USA hosts most of the places I like. Probably because it traditionally has a less nosy government, although that seems to be changing.
Erm... ixnay on the esslay osynay overnmentgay

Have you heard about the Five Eyes? Its the thing America is part of and privacy is not a word that's in their dictionary.

The Fourteen Eyes are the better choices if you're going for something that doesn't collect a fuck-ton of info.

I may be a retard but doesn't this include the annual 40 billion we give to Israel?
No. Except maybe direct military aid. A bunch of other committees are responsible for foreign aid which mostly goes through the State Department, not the military.

Who dis? I’m out of the loop here.
This is (highly suspected to be) Onision’s sock account DMing one of the KF users he hates the most, a Canadian moose bitch by the name of @heatboss , soon after Null announced the possibility of Section 230 being repealed. He has a thread in the beauty parlor, you should check it out if you want to burn your eyes out of your skull.

So we get to keep 230 (for now), but this bill passing also means that our faggot (((GOP))) senators also voted overwhelmingly to placate niggers and commies by renaming military installations. Right after voting to flood the country with 100k+ pajeets with a green card giveaway.

Even "good" things are always double-edged sword with this bunch.
