I'm just going to guess at what is going on

Jessica agreed to date him platonically, no sex, because she felt sorry for Chris and all the years of knowing him resulted in a sort of bizarre admiration of him, she's feeling lonely, and so decided to help him out with his life by giving him a shoulder to cry on and someone to talk to intimately, while getting these things for herself.

It's just a random guess but I feel it fits better than any other theory I've seen. If this was really a long con trolling attempt, or another fake girlfriend saga, then she's more retarded than Chris. If she really wants to date him than she's more retarded than anyone on this website.

If I were Chris, I'd be avoiding the MLP movie at all costs. Jessica will have her pick of fat, autistic man-children. Hope Chris isn't the jealous type.

Or Jessica is insecure and didn't want to be Chris' second choice after Doopie, regardless of his chances of scoring her. Little does she know that only makes Chris' duck harder for Doopie. Now she's the forbidden fruit he's been pining for that everyone tells him he can't have.
 
Maybe on some level Chris chan still wants doopie because he on a primitively animal level has his instincts telling him Jessica isn't real. He can't admit to himself Jessica is not real. But his subconscious mind suspects it, thus the doopie desire is still there. Because after Jessica is revealed to be a troll he will go back to chasing doopie, but he on a subcouncious level is actually saving time by wanting doopie is the meantime. Because Jessica could drag on for a long time. But doopie is floating around there. It must be a hella conundrum for the brain of a Chris chan.

I'm guessing it's Doopie is just more attractive to him.

Personally, I think it's because Chris is not into Jessica. What he's into is "a girlfriend." It's not like he suddenly fell hopelessly in love with Jess, it's just that a woman, any woman, expressed an interest. He continued to go after Doopie because hey, might as well have a back-up, right? If Doopie somehow fell in love with Chris, he wouldn't give a shit about Jessica threatening to dump him, and if there was another woman waiting in the wings after that, he wouldn't be bothered about losing Doopie either. As long as there is someone willing to protect him from the scary grown-up world and occasionally provide a little light fucking, he doesn't give a shit who it is.

Jessica's feelings in this are immaterial. He was very openly contemptuous that she didn't like him chasing Doopie. His only reason for trying to keep her happy is so she doesn't leave him, not because he cares about her. It would be sickening, were it not for the fact that she's fake.

Because Chris's biggest need right now is for someone to keep his current life sustainable. What extras Doopie would bring to this equation is more about his physical attraction to her and her artistic capabilities. Which he views as compatible with his own interests. Also her being the artist for Sonichu would allow him to focus on writing it. Keep in mind that he may have already developed carpal tunnel syndrome from the weird way he holds the pen.

Now we don't know what arrangement he & Jessica have, but it's reasonable to assume that it's not a normal relationship either.. Personally I think she is something new that doesn't fall within the normal Troll/White Knight paradigm we've come to expect.

In Chris' mind this probably plays out similarly to a reenactment of American Beauty with Chris as Lester Burnham, Jessica as Carolyn Burnham and Dooopie as Angela Hayes. "Sometimes there's so much atsimu in the world, I feel like I can't take it, and my Heart Level's gonna sink down to zero..."
 
Well we're nearly there, and the stakes feel so high but are also so low, mainly due to the pessimism of most of the peanut gallery here thinking there's zero chance of Jessica being a real human, much less a chance of this being a real relationship.

I still hold to my belief that Jess and Chris have been on the phone and other ways of private communication; its easy enough.

Chris and Kacey and like 30 phone calls, most which we didn't even know of until 2 years afterwards.

Not to say the content I'm talking about will get leaked to us, but the point is, its really none of our business anyway, Jessica herself keeps saying that remark.

We might not even get any news at all on Friday.
 
I think we will get info. Just watch Chris's relationship status on Facebook. If it goes good, the complicated will go away. If it's a troll, it will go back to single. This is like the color of the smoke when they pick a new Pope. Chris won't be able to resist sending up a flag.
 
I think Chris will not only not be able to resist "sending up a flag," but will literally not be able to resist pouring his entire experience out over FB or twitter afterwards. If it goes well, we'll get sperging about MLP love and friendship and the magic of ponies and maybe a name drop recognition for Jessie (so she doesn't realize he's in love with horses, not her). And if the date goes terribly, or doesn't materialize, he'll sperg about how trolls once again ruined his date, relationship, whatever.

Pretty much this. Some people are forgetting Chris had a very open obsession with Doopie , when Jessica was already in his circle of friends. It's clear who he's more attracted to. Jessica becoming his sweetheart isn't going to change his existing feelings for Doopie as we can see from his newest sock puppet.

If Jessica Quinn is as possessive as she let's on and isn't trolling she's not going to be happy to read this page.
