Remakes you would actually like to see

March of The Eagles
Call it a sequel or a remake IDC, but I really do want to see Paradox Interactive have another crack at the Napoleonic era.
I just want that era to be given the same treatment that Hearts of Iron does to World War II. Just please make it good.

I'd like a (proper) remake or reboot of Kingpin: Life of Crime. The game is very flawed and lackluster/rushed, but it had great art direction and a really nice alt-history world that I've always wanted to see a bit more fleshed out.

Lexx was a series that had some fantastic concepts, but cringe execution (and 90s TV CGI). I think you could remake it into something really good now.
I don't know if they can make something as insane as Lexx these days, people are incapable of surviving that many drugs. But yeah, Lexx was cool. Batshit insane front to back, but that was the charme it had. They gave zero fucks and they were proud of it.

I'd like to see a Rambo reboot that follows the story of the novel a bit more closely. In that Rambo is more of a villainous character.

Spawn would be good for a remake even if I do have a guilty fondness for the 1997 film.

Carnivores, the old dinosaur hunting game would be good too

I would like to see an all-black remake of The Color Purple.
Was a remake last year, wasn't very good.
Resident Evil – Code: Veronica: Game has lot of flaws, mostly in terms of level layouts that a remake in the vein of what capcom did for RE2 or 4 remakes could really transform the game into something great.
Apparently Code Veronica and 0 are next in line for remakes, going off of leaks/stuff Capcom has said recently. Typical since I just finished Code Veronica and it was such a pain of a game to slog through. Nice ideas, awful execution.

I heard that but always take those leaks with a grain of salt.

Another one: Zombi Holocaust.

On paper, this should be one of the ultimate B movies because it mashes together Zombies, cannibals, and the mad doctor trope. Instead, it's just kind of lazily thrown together and the big confrontation between all 3 of them is short and dreadfully uneventful.

Ideally, a remake should embody the cover art for a death metal band like Cannibal Corpse or something like that and be an absolute bloodbath from beginning to end.

imagine a properly done CGI Violator. Make it a franchise with Spawn fighting the mafia in the first film and Overtkills the final villain.

A sequel/reboot has been in development since forever but might finally be moving forward. Bad news is that it's being done by Blumhouse. Good news is that McFarlane is heavily involved andnonenof the screenwriters of Joker worked on it.

This will be controversial, but I really think the A-Team could be a fantastic remake project, where instead of the moral and financial limitations causing the original TV-show to be corny and embarassing, with thousands of rounds wasted every episode just shooting the ground until the enemy gives up, I'd like a remake action TV show about the same characters put into more serious situations where they have to improvise on the spot to build weapons, vehicles, or use very creative tactics. The best episodes of the original show were when this happened, like the episode that takes place entirely in a restaurant where Murdock and Santana have to handle a hostage situation while Face is bleeding out. I think there's great potential in this.
Didn't they do that in the 2000s?

Too human could be remade without the development hell PS1 design baggage and be a really fun action RPG. It would also do a lot better numbers since larpagans have made norse mythology into a much more profitable product

The problem wasn't with the game as much as it was with the pretentious narcissistic idiot who thought of it and the idiot who came up with those awful controls, it's the same guy who did Detroit: Become human. He's a one note tool who thinks ham fisted social commentary with absolutely no subtlety is "deep".

The old RTS/RPG Original War could use a remake.
It had a really cool idea and some really neat gameplay ideas. I.e., no building units, soldiers carry over to the next mission, and if they die, they die. They level up and have skills, too.
Highly underrated game.

Phantoms (1998 )
I really like the first half of this movie but once the big reveal happens, it goes downhill and never picks up.
Aside from the writing being bad in the 2nd half, it's another late 90's horror movie that has a big CGI climax that completely doesn't hold up visually.
Fix that shit and we could have something great.
The Dean Koontz's works that had film adaptations, such as the aforementioned Phantoms, Watchers, Whispers, and The Servants of Twilight, could use remakes that are more accurate to the source material, especially if you're tired of seeing Stephen King adaptations.
