Some of my favorite threads to reread are the ones made exactly one year ago. The incredible Doopie & Planet Dolan saga.
These were some really important events, because they took place at the perfect time for me. Work for the summer season had finally calmed down, and I could be in on whatever big development was happening. I had entirely missed out on Hirtes's Halal ceremony in July, but I'm much less busy in August, so I was able to be in on that.
I tell you, Chris really is a socially unaware moron.
This was just the tip of the iceberg. When Chris was typing this, using that stupid blushing emoji (which he disgustingly thinks he's using as a flirtation device) and talking about "wearing his heart on his sleeve" he really thought he was going to make things more right.
His use of the term "Darling" during this saga was also really relatable to me. Like, you only use that term for you and your wife, or really, really close friends. It is unacceptable to call a girl you only know over the internet that term. I was so glad the miniature sequel to the Saga (Lady of the Cosmos) happened so it could finally been straightened out.

It’s a bit autistic, but I missed the time when Chris got back into comic book making in 2017 and it actually got me excited to see Sonichu continued.

This is when he started growing his hair out and the start of the Tomgirl Saga began. For me, I remember when he was 22, and had asked Santa to bring him a boyfried-free girl. Many laughs for me were had when I saw that video.

Honestly, I really miss “pre-sexed” Chris. Like, he was obviously never totally oblivious to the concept of sex, and posted some pretty raunchy stuff even in the early sagas. But, I miss the days when he projected as if he had little more than a child’s conception of it. Seeing him post about fetish-related stuff now is really jarring.
Also, it may sound autistic, but even his early fuck up with Megan can be seen in a kind of endearing light. It was like akin to some innocent kid drawing a picture of themselves making out with their crush, and leaving it in their desk or something, totally oblivious to how creepy/awkward it is. The new stuff is just totally tainted.

Yeah, him latching on to the term "virgin with rage" as some kind of endearing pick-up line is hilarious. Like his "c'mon, you don't want me to be a Virgin With Rage anymore, do you?!". Like its some sort of malady that a woman MUST take care of.

Everything about this video is gold for me. From the very first frame you can tell Chris is ready to GO with that lean-in Captain's Log intro. All the blatant references to himself that Chris reveals like it's shocking information, Chris apparently believing his "booda belly and man-boobs" are in the past, the reticence to say "dick," the casual use of death threats. This to me is like the peak before the fall. There'd still be other great moments like the freakout of June 2010, but to me this run from fall 2008 to spring/summer 2010 is the best season ever.

I think he would've only gotten as far as a rough grope at best. Megan wasn't an idiot, she would've never been alone with Chris, knowing what he was like.

How old was Chris in this video? Is he supposed to be in his late 20s? Cause he looks like he's in his mid 30s, and his current self looks like he's in his mid 40s.

It's not a "moment" really (unless you qualify the ridiculous spiel in the Rental House Tour) but I love the mythology Chris and Barb have built up about how they're descended from Anne Boleyn. Anne Boleyn's only daughter died childless, but that's no deterrent to Chris and Barb thinking that the main line of a British royal house would establish themselves in a white trash suburb of a podunk city in a country that rejected the British monarchy.
