I don't know if a fear of putting levels online has anything to do with it---he still tried to plug his godawful LBP & ModNation creations while using his JenkinsJinkies trollsona, & whored himself out for votes on his Facebook in 2013 for his Autism Tutorial for some LBP contest---perhaps he's just gotten so lazy that even customizing levels causes him too much stress?
From what I know about Skylanders, you "unlock" characters by buying their figurines & scanning in their codes or something, right? So maybe Skylanders appeals to him more because it allows him to amass characters in-game & tangibly hoard toys outside of it.

And I don't think Chris will ever discover Renee is a troll. He still thinks both Kacey and Ivy were true and honest, at least as far as I can tell. His capacity for self delusion is practically limitless.

I thought about Ivy too when you mentioned Kacey earlier. But he kinda-sorta-kinda "figured out" later that Jackie was a troll. . .despite falling for it twice. (Though that "realization" may have come about due to some prodding from Anna? I can't remember.) So it's hard to say. Chris can surprise, sometimes. & by "surprise," I mean "do or come out with something so unfathomably autistic that no one sees it coming."

Why have there been lines of text whited out on the bottom of the texts, especially on the Christmas Day texts? Something has been erased and then the "Call Text more" box has been pasted over part of what was erased on the left-hand side. And in the text sent on the 20th he begins "Well, for me right now..."
Forgive me, but it looks like you're texting him.
 
Chris being a Skylanders fan is no surprise, it was just a matter of time. He's a fan of anything that screams "give me large amounts of money for almost nothing, please". Is he buying Amiibo too?

Ive noticed as well. I haven't called it out before because I dont see how Thetan benefits by lying in this case. It would be nice if she could clear the air.

Obviously I'm not Thetan but maybe it's a protective measure for Renee and/or Chrissy?

After all, KiwiFarms coined the term "Weens" for a reason.
 
I think that the reason Chris keeps texting Renee is is that he is desperate for ANY kind of social interaction. I mean, for most of us, our days go something like this:

-Wake up, chat with spouse/SO/parents/siblings/offspring for a bit.
-Go to work/school, talk with classmates/coworkers about your life/their lives/current tasks.
-While there, possibly text/email/facebook friends/family, make plans for future activities, just see how everyone is doing.
-Come home to family/go out with friends/hop online to interact with others (even if it's this place!).
-Go to bed, do it again.

That's some pretty broad strokes, and obviously, not everyone's life will fit neatly into each slot, but for most of us, our days involve some interaction with other people pretty much every single day, whether online or in real life.

The only person Chris actually interacts with, as in having conversations that aren't "would you like fries with that?" is Barb, who is arguably the most unpleasant, toxic person in Virginia. I can't imagine that as my life. Hell, I had 60 relatives in my house Christmas eve, and that was only one side of my family, and doesn't include friends/coworkers/etc. Just think of the number of people you talk with in a day or a week or several months.

Think of the physical contact most of us take for granted, hugs from friends, children snuggling on our laps, even having the sex with our chosen partners.

Then imagine not having any of that.

A lot of people say "Chris is a selfish asshole, and his loneliness is his own fault!" and I disagree. Chris was a selfish asshole as a kid, because ALL KIDS are selfish assholes. I have two of them, and they are all bossy and controlling and completely focused on their own wants. The difference is, neurotypical children interact with other little selfish assholes, and learn pretty quickly that they aren't the center of the world. Eventually, they learn compromise and empathy and sharing and all the other things that make us civilized human beings.

Chris never was allowed to learn those things. Borb didn't want him to get the therapy that could've actually helped him, they just wanted him to be "mainstreamed". Instead of having other kids knock the edges off his psyche, they paid people to be nice to him. Chris was never allowed to become anything but a perpetual 8 year old.

And now, it's far too late for him to learn, and he doesn't even understand why he doesn't have friends and a girlfriend. I think he's far more mentally disabled than Borb ever acknowledged, let alone sought treatment for. So he sends texts to someone who will never answer, because it's better than not texting anyone.

TL;DR: Chris texts Renee for sad, sad reasons.

I removed identifying information about Chris. The missing lines were where Chris was going on about visiting Renee in her home state. I don't want a lot of information about Renee leaked for my own reasons; for one thing, I don't want someone setting up an different Renee account for the express purpose of trolling Chris (and not in a "good" way). Any extra information could be used by this potential troll to fool Chris (he already believes that her account has been hacked).

The line "Well for me right now...." was also in an email Chris sent to Catherine. This is where I came up with the idea that he was just copypasting bits and pieces of existing texts instead of going through all the trouble of creating new ones.

I have, as I said, been thinking about replying as Renee, if for no other reason than to see what it would take to out myself (nothing malicious). As it is, Chris texts with Renee are leaked shortly after he sends them: what would happen if they were leaked almost immediately after he sent them, would he put 2 and 2 together?

There is a particular social venue that I was trying to steer Chris towards right before Halloween. He seems more open now to giving it a try: one thing though, if he does start going to this thing, I'm not going to post the details here for the reasons mentioned above ^.

Then again, he may just be saying this in order to win Renee's approval and get her to start talking to him, but I'm still going to play it safe.

I hope he's telling the truth, that he is actually considering going to events to socialize, instead of just waiting for people to approach him. I obviously don't know the details of your interactions with him, but I think that "Renee" might have been a good thing for him. The problem is that if Renee is his only non-Barb contact, he's going to (has already?) become overly dependent on her. But I don't see the harm in behaving in a friendly, if slightly distant manner, and suggesting ways that he can improve his life.

I don't think you should out yourself, you should really just keep encouraging Chris to to get out and about at social events. Outing yourself will only negatively impact Chris's life, him getting normal interactions with people at events would give him avenues to improve his life.
